I kinda like his new voice, although this voice makes me think of teen titans, I like this voice too.

I reckon the new VA does a good job imho. Though Scott is quite the actor. :)

Most of the characters that did get new voices still sound fairly close to their predecessors with the exception of lloyd saddly his new voice actor compared to Scott Menville sounds nothing like him and sticks out like a sore thumb as the saying goes. Though it kinda fits and doesn't at the same time. The new actor gives a much more mature sound to lloyd even though story wise only a few years have passed. But it is always a bit of a drag when such a blunt change in voices happen.

Because Namco is cheap. End of story. They didn't want to pay Scott or the original actors the ammount of money required so they went with cheaper actors.

@TheHPArsenal I hear ya, I have not finished nor touched the game since I first got it. It ruined the experience for me when I found out they changed voice actors... It may be a good game, but the overall performance (cut scenes, acting and such) suffers greatly when compared to the first installment of symphonia. If they make a third and it still isn't the original cast, I'm not touching it, end of story. Sorry Namco, cutting corners costs you money instead of saving you money.

I've never seen a picture of the guy, but yeah, voice acters are rarely as attractive as they sound. It's also a pet peeve of mine when I find out the main male character is played by a female. (Not that I have anything against female voice actors)

Brian Beacock sucks he sounds like a child and we have to hear him in voice skits since all the skits are voiced now. This may explains why so many websites are talking shit about ToS2, but I hope the game is good in story wise pray to god.

same here...actually I find the whole sequel thing stupid... The first one concluded everything that was necessaru and what it left open-ended didn't need to be concluded..... Man.. I don't quite understand how people get so happy up about it.... I would be happier if they made a new tales universe. or remade tales of phantasia instead of basing the game on the already perfectly fleshed out characters

there's a few reasons why they made DotNW, 1. because there was gonna be one for the 360, and people wanted one for the wii too. and 2. they couldn't make one for the ps3 yet, because they didnt know what to base it off, so DotNW was just to make time to think of new ideas for a ps3 game
