@marsipan11 if stay in the ESM zone your misiles work alot better. you should fly a su37 or a f35 for good highspeed turns also use QAAMs as your second missile and keep switching between the two. it can get abit manic and never ever fly in a straight line in the battle zone ,just keep turning and dont hit the deck. if a missles about to hit you pull a high-G turn

You can try to be more sneaky...do some evasive manuevers and such and try to guess where the enemy plane is going and make slick moves so you can get behind him and fire.

people should really make an effort to learn some Airal Combat Manuvers... google them all you can find the basic one that real pilots use... and there the ones that all other manuvers are created off of...

Some people do still play this game , but it can sometimes take ages to find a game. The more friends you have that will play this with you, The more quicker you'll find a game. As you need less people to start playinh. ( If that makes sence)

Me and a couple buddies still play, but on about. one night out of seven the servers really are desolate. Most of the time you can 4-5 other people to play with. I like to get in the super plane (forget the name) and fly around with a radar jam and piss off the other team by jamming there radar and making it useless the entire game. Of course I'll get chased but it takes 5 mins to find out it's me and I'm in the fastest and agile so it's pretty easy..... And we win!

i dont likr playing online, im a cannon user and twice i came close to downing a enemy with guns but i was shot down :( came back and blasted the bastard that shot me down :)  i prefer single player, better in my opinion

Personally, I thought HAWX was terrible. The only thing I gave it credit for was the attention to environment detail. Other than that I thought the missions were bland & focused too much on air to ground combat, the leveling system was almost as dumb as the enemy fighter AI & the weapon choices sucked. AC6 gameplay was better, the storyline was in-depth and the missions were epic. By the end of HAWX I was so bored I could've cared less if Artemis nuked the US to hell or not.

the trick is to keep moving, dont get caught up in the dogfight, blow through, try and get a target and a shot off, then speed off and loop around. I can guarentee if you dont get caught up in the center you wont get shot down.

ace combat is superior ro hawx. HAWX just doesnt have the polish that Ace Combat does. Like the F-22 and SU-47 missile bay doors that dont open, the fact there is no HUD in cockpit view, or the fact that you cannot turn off your afterburners to pull a tight turn unless your in assistance off mode....shit's weak.

I'll chase a target and have a lock but i won't fire missles or guns cuz once he or she gets the missle alerts they gonna move,a "warning" they don't take as personal but you can be really close to them and all they'll see is "warning" then when you fire a missle at close range they'll quickly see the missle alert and by the time they go to break they are already shot down cuz your missle dont take that long to hit your target at close range plus it's more accurate.

actually, those things are pretty hard to use when fighting an experienced pilot. They maybe be very maneuverable, but they are easy to stall and fly like a balloon when making high-g turns. I usually just shoot a random missile to scare the guy into a high-g turn and then after maybe 2 or 3 seconds, use a special. It's really a matter of opinion.
