the clash are cool and everything, but they werent even close to the best classic punk band. ramones, sex pistols, misfits, dead kennedys, black flag, there were so many old punk bands better than the clash. rancid is wayyyyyyy better than the clash too! rancid is the shit!

Clash first album is one of the most important punk albums ever. Ramones werent political, but The Clash were. Ramones invented the sound and energy, The Clash continued with political lyrics. Punk should always be political, the lyrics should make people think.

@Viking166 we don't have a band like that there are artists like that. even though you probably don't like rap since this is a rancid video but Lupe Fiasco is very political and always make you think with his songs not so much on his new cd lasers but his other two. he's also likes a lot of rock bands he even has a side project called japanese cartoon.
