  • Hi Chap,

You really made my day :)))

    THX for postin´ !!

  • @strokertiger302 Thank You!

  • nice find. ive collected old motor garage manuels for a while. i have about 18 so far, from 1952-1972... and a few specialty books for the 50s and 60s....love the caddy moter too...i have a 71 deville sedan with a 472 hi-comp...

  • Sweet!

  • I love how the old Chevy Engines haven't changed much over the years either.. The next-door neighbor gave me some old 4-bolt sheetmetal "hugger orange" rocker covers with 327cid stickers on them and they bolt right up to the 86' ported 305 Engine I'm using.. So does the 50's shortie water pump and pulleys.. -Rob

  • Yea, that small block Chevy's been pretty constant since the 1955 "265 ci" engine came out. I love 'em. Feel like I can take one apart and put it back together in my sleep..

  • Cool,what a neat find!

  • Thats an awsome find. I just got home from a swap meet in conn. didn't find anything that cool!! HAHA!

  • Great find. I love the old technical illustrations.

  • it's pretty good readin'. I'm learnin' a lot about the old girl.. I didn't know they used to swap to Studebaker rocker arms for high performance.. Imagine that... !

  • That's cool..

  • old school is the best school

  • 'tis.

  • Love The Rod, I ll trade you my wife and first born for it.

  • How much firewood can the first born cut in a day? Can the wife cook?

  • Cool magazine find!

  • Awesome find

  • Awesome, dude!

  • Lucky find cool!

  • what a treasure! its ironic, I was just telling my son today that If I did do any modifications to that old Hemi engine.. that I'd want to do what they would have done back in the late 50's/early 60's.... now low and behold you have the very book to explain exactly how it would have been done!

  • I'll photo the pages and send 'em to ya.. It'll be fun..

  • NICE! How lucky is that! I collect old car mags so I know how rare it is to find a gem like that!!!!!!!!

  • Yessir!

  • Great find. What's the chances that would ever happen again? Rich

  • very kewl

  • cool find...i was in an ols car junkyard in massachusetts & there were boxes of old car magazines in a car , the owner let me have...i've enjoyed many of years reading them & referring back to past articles.

  • Cool!

  • VERY COOL!!

I wanted to find an old motor to put in my 56 wagon but for now its got a boreing old 350. Was thinking of an olds rocket 88 from around 1956 I think they where a 324 or something like that...

Your right on with doing things the old way you can't build an old hotrod with fuel injection (unless its an old set up like they had on fuelee vettes or hilborn) and all that modern computer junk.

Keep at it your doing a great job

  • Thank You! I'm just havin' great fun..

  • right on thats a cool find
