關詩敏 has the star look and her singing is pretty good for her age but the problem is her voice. I find her voice very very average. She can improve her singing skill but her voice is just very average. I am sure if the company knows how to package her, she'll sell.
@jibikao I actually think its her singing skill that could use improvement. Her voice is excellent, but she's trying to sing everything in full chest voice so some of the highest notes sound a bit forced. To give you an idea of how hard that is, even A-mei goes into falsetto in order to hit the highest notes in the original version, specifically (當初那些溫柔). However I think its good that 關詩敏 is pushing her boundaries. She'll know next time that falsetto would be the way to go for those high notes.
@AndyChrono1 She sang it in full voice just fine during the rehearsal, you can find it on youtube. That note isn't too high, her voice just wasn't prepared.
@zelda0521 I've seen it. That version was better than this one but I think that if sometimes she can hit it and sometimes she can't then it's not quite consistent enough yet. I still think falsetto would have sounded better for that particular section. As she develops more experience either she can hit it more consistently or she will know it sounds better in falsetto. Either way, its good for her to try different things because the sky is the limit IMO.
