Very good observations. The essence of 'Foley' swing is to minimise clubface rotation through impact - less timing.
The swing is a hybrid of a number of others, notably Hardy's One Plane Swing.
Basically the aim is to get the clubface square to the arc at hip height in the downswing, then from there no extra forearm rotation is needed into impact.
The adjustments Tiger has made in the BS are to enable this (i.e. clubface square to arc at hip height, arm and shoulder on same plane at top)
When I watch this video I notice how much he rotates his forearms to square the clubface. I've never been able to make that work consistently. To be as good as this guy has been and have that handsy move is incredible. He's also a handsy putter. Best hands in the business obviously.
@bunkerputt Your grip has a lot to do with that. If you're consistently not able to square your club face try altering your grip. Even the slightest grip change can make a world of difference. I don't mean to be giving you advice like you need it or I'm some golf master or anything but that might help.
hmmm.... slightly higher finish for my liking

@bunkerputt Yes. Williams worked with Woods for most of his career. You know the guy that is considered one of the best golfers in history?

@bunkerputt very precise observation. I wonder if this was taken way before sean foley came along. this move clearly shows Hank Haney teaching.
