@fervent66 He played to a sold-out audience at the Ramshead in Annapolis, MD. He had just come off of a European tour and was doing some small gigs on his way back home to Minneapolis. I'm sure he has a website that you can check out to find his tour dates. Peace.

Interesting comments about the similarities between Claypool and Graham. They both used bass as a lead instrument, both used distortion and whammy, both used slap extensively, and they even move in similar ways when playing. Very interesting.
@iloveasiangirls, you bring up a really good point about the similarities between the two. Personally though I think Larry Graham is a much more expressive player than Les Claypool simply because he's able to get so much out of the instrument without having to over-use his bass. The man's a GOD!
dont play (too lazy) but sing, and as a bass, I've done serveral leads. Not many, so I get the whole "hold it down" thing, but there are always exceptions. Especially for the exceptionAL. and imho, this guy was a fn genius. Oh, ps, it was HIS band :P
@onlyjoetee Apparently you know nothing of musicianship. yes the bass player is the foundation of the band and without a good foundation, the band will fall. And you are definitely wrong about the bass being the supporting instrument. Out of all instruments in my opinion it's the most important because with out it the music is empty. So don't go talking down on the bass or any rhythm section instrument. Because the bass player can be the lead. Take a look at fuckin Marcus Miller.
@shaggymattrocks he's the captain of The Love Boat. The Love Boat is driven by sex appeal. needless to say, Larry Graham could take his boat around the world within a 2 week span.
