The first time i played and fought these creatures (BTW i played on the Wii version) it was very easy fighting these guys but they actually kinda creep me out the first time i saw them but i guess RE4 is classic Horror to those who like it ha ha.
I've followed this entire series because Ive never played RE4 and I just got the HD version on xbox and I've been playing along with these videos, and it's been so damn helpful from you showing me where everything is and helping me develop strategy, so fucking thank you!
I remember the first time I played this it was with my friend, and it took us three days. We would shoot the boxes to open them, and we never once upgraded our case thing. And to beat the Regenorators/Iron Maidens, we didn't use the Infrared Scope, no we sold that, we just shot the thing like hell until it died. Now looking back, in the two years since then I've beaten the game either 6 or 7 more times (the right way) and every time I can't help but think "How the hell did we do that?!"

When I look at the regenerators they remind me of redeads from the Zelda series. And I hate the redeads from the Zelda series! The regenerators are even creepier!!!
@Xelger: Thanks so much, to save ammo though, I did try the shotgun to the knees, then after they lunged at me when they were down, slashed like there was no tomorrow... XD Got lucky since they don't seem to budge when I was knifing them while they were still on their faces recovering their wounds. Anyway, thanks for the vids, your guide has helped me alot. I have a question, I'm playing normal mode on PS2, and when I encounter the 1st Regenerator after I get the thermal scope, it seems to have 4 Plagas instead of 3. Does that happen?

@Leader190Productions I've played through the Gamecube remake of the first game, but it's just terribly hard due to the crippled control and blind spots of the camera angles that allow enemies to attack from off-screen. Of course, there's also an ammo issue, where you have to use the knife through half of the game. This fourth game is a whole lot more generous with being able to see what you're doing and with ammo.
@Xelger thats because the originals were true survival horror games this one is an action game if you ask me and ask the true resi fans that have been with the games since the start then the originals were the best.

With the Regenerators, say you didn't have the Infra Red or just simply are a terrible aim, could you take the thing down anyway just by firing so much ammo into it that you sort of hit the parasites by default? Like the TMP? It fires so much in such a short time, surely something would hit one of those 3 spots? And it seems like the 3 spots remain in the same location with each Regenerator. So could a grenade just hit all 3 spots at once? Thanks.
@Fitzbugs Only the rifles penetrate enough to actually hit the parasites. However, you CAN kill them by merely giving them enough normal damage, but it takes longer.
@Xelger Ah, gotcha. Thanks. I think I"d rather do it with the rifle and get to the parasites quickly, over and done with, rather than monkeying around with something else and giving those hellacious creatures an opportunity to get too close. Thankfully, they seem to move slower than some of the other creatures. Steadily progressing on the game, so thanks so much. I can only hope you will post more videos in the near future. :-)

Me? What did I do when I saw the first regenerator? I just threw 2 or 3 incendiary grenades at it and the regenerator died. The second one I just kept on shooting at it with the TMP and for the third one probably going to use infrared scope. lol!

@thewolfofdestiney I have to admit that they ARE freaky, and I did get a bit of a tense feeling with facing them, since they are more dangerous than normal enemies. I don't think I've ever been really scared of them though.

@johaku99 why would you never play pro again? its better. besides after that you have all the weapons. i wasnt going to eithre but now ive played pro over again probably 100 or 150 times. and only about 14 on normal

You can shoot the second Regenerator with six or seven exact magnum shots (one Headshot, one Left arm, one Right arm and the rest shot on his chest) and this guy is going to explode like a balloon =)

Well, you can actually kill regenerators normally, if you pummel them enough. I believe a grenade would just give it a dose of normal damage.

if u shot the regenerator same spot many times they will die ( i have try it ) i use tommy gun and it have fire power 10 and it takes pretty many shots on easy so if u want to kill it right away u rly want ammo lol XD
