Did anybody know that in Antarctica, there is traffic like this??? Tthe hole in the Ozone is over Antarctica and is within the stratosphere. Clouds are in the troposphere or one layer below the stratosphere. I agree with K20ej88. Ozone (O3) is also in the air we breathe, but that ozone is bad. The Ozone that is within the stratosphere is the good ozone. It protects us from UV rays and other harmful things. This phenomenon that is shown here has been attributed to HAARP, so they say.

It's a strange cloud formation. The Ozone layer is much higher in the atmosphere and is not visable with the naked eye. Ozone is created when UV light penetrates oxygen in the upper atmosphere. Holes in this layer are common and can occur anywhere depending on the level of UV light present. About two tons of Ozone is created every second on planet earth.
