okay so here's the deal with fairbanks.

if you had the ashbringer with you, mograine senior's ghost would confront his son when you enter scarlet and if you then went to fairbanks, his ghost would appear, telling you how the elder mograine was lured by his son into an ambush by the undead at stratholme. fairbanks accompanied him at the time but was buried alive under a pile of slain zombies, while mograine the elder slew more and more of them with the ashbringer but was eventually overwhelmed.

In lore, the Undead aint taking over Scarlet Monastery, Joseph the insane is having rebels over there so it's just a big fat rebel fight all the way, no undeads. Thatsjust to give Horde a little part of Monastery aswell, even tho it has only with Humans t o do. Besides ,the Alliance version is better in Cthe Cathedral cus Joseph the Insane is Dancing while his monks fight :D

Storyline, no. Then It belongs to the Alliance, Lordaeron, Human.

As just a leveling instance , sure. Then it might be more hordes since it's outside UC, but that has really nothing to do with the Horde, only that the Scarlets want to cleanse the land.

On the Alliance side, you kill the leaders of the monestary and the guy from the first instance takes it over. They probably wont give Scarlet Monestary to the Forsaken though.

I heard that if in vanilla you got the Ashbringer you could go into the Cathedral and all the scarlets were friendly. When u got to Mograine a little conversation appeared between Mograine Sr. (dead Ashbringer and Mograine Jr. (his son in the scarlets ). Then to answer Jesse's question you could go into where Faribanks was and turn him into a human somehow. I saw this on some vid on this on youtube somewhere. Not sure if this is true but its pretty cool.

Many of the humans still feel loyalty for their kingdom/sister kingdom of Lordaeron. For lordaeron! showed up at least once in the wrathgate video, and the King of Stormwind Varian Wyrn wants to retake the country. If you check out the new Strathome instance, members of the Argent dawn want to remake Lordaeron with Strathome as its capital.
