personally im a kira fan...tho i didnt like how he was handled in destiny. Not a real big Shin fan manly cuz hes kinda a douch he really needs some anger management classes and needs to stop blaming Kira for Stellars death...he helped. I also didnt like Shin cuz all that changed where his abilities...which pretty much happened overnight, Kira spent hours redesigning the O.S. on the strike to suit him and also went through lots of major battles before he got good, thats also why he can beat Shin

the stike wasnt bad it was the pilot, kira had to set it so he could use it without haveing to study the manual,its the same with some games when u dont like the controls u change them
no look at the first episode, the strike couldnt move properly cuz it was programed badly...as an example kira never once reprograms the freedom...why cuz he didnt need too it was fine the way it was. oh and the controls stayed the same it just moved better, eg to move back he pulled the stick back. when marru first did this it stumbled alot, after the reprogramming it did the same thing just faster and didnt almost fall on its ass. another time is in the desert when he couldnt move in the sand.
I actually think he and Kamille (the insperation for Shinn early on) are the two most compelling characters so far (Time will tell with Setsuna). It just so happens that the fan-appeasing director Fukuda messed up Shinn and took away everything that made his character just to make Kira (who has no personality or character depth) look cool.
don't forget he fucked kamille over to.even the director said the new translation movies for zeta were an alternate reality(this is the one were kamille gets a good ending)

When Shinn fighting against those EA forces, his mother ship Minerva got Rey and Lunamaria to defend against the enemies' MS, thats why he can fight without worrying about it...
And for Eternal, only Walfred was defending against the whole ZAFT fleet( 20 Nascar ) and uncountable MS, thats why Kira gotta fight and defend at the same time to save Eternal, unlike Shinn who has no worries and can concentrate to destroy his enemies
But Eternal was able to defend itself very good using it's weapons the 2 meteors and the missles, And really Walfred Still better than Luna and maybe as good as Rey and don't forget than Gaia maybe can do much more than a Zaku(in space you can fly faster), Shinn was defending Minerva at the start and he shot down a lot of windams, while Kira did nothing just shot 2 mses, at least Kira must have done something better than what he does as Walfred and Eternal will fight.

Not really, those pilots aren't than skilled, they can be killed very easy,the Eternal can fire a big amount of missles at them and can use the meteors so it can shot down a lot of them and don't forget that Eternal could be better than those ships of Zaft so it can destroy some of them, And Walfred is better than any pilot of those so he can destroy some of them before Kira comes, and Kira always plays the role of attacker and defender at the same time, so what happened here?
In Seed he was able to protect Archangel from those four Zaft mses(buster, blitz,...) and other Zaft mses with just a help from Muw what happened here?, well Kira can fight free because Walfred is defending the Eternal and it's defending itself, just because there is a second pilot to defend Minerva doesn't mean that Zaft was in a better situation, Walfred still better and has a better ms.
In SEED, the Archangel is expecting a battle with ZAFT, thats why they are prepared and as soon as the enemies MSs is in sight, they can shoot it down...
And for Minerva, they are not in any better situation, but at least they can prepare for the worst
unlike Eternal who only got Walfred and he is busy to shoot down as many as he can, but the ship is huge and the enemies can always attack from other angel which making it difficult to defend... It was corrected in SE, Destiny didn't ran out of juice, and if the battle continues Kira wont make any trouble for Shinn except if he uses the sabers and Shinn knows how to avoid or to use the beam shield. But you need to watch the last battle again because Luna's silly move was the reason why Shinn lost(at least in that fast)see what happened to Shinn when Luna jumped there, she confused him more and more, he saw images and things then he found himself in front of Justice blocking the Palm.
And I didn't say Luna wanted to help Athrun, I said she helped Athrun as he exploited that situation for his advatage, she confused Shinn and she is blocking the way so Athrun can do whatever he wants.

Dullindal found out about Shinn's DNA and kind of sent "Rey" to be his friend, tag along with him, and kind of steer him in the direction he wanted. Their friendship was entirely fake. If Shinn didn't follow his "orders" at any point Rey would of just tried to kill him like anyone else who disobeyed.

lol, again check out the situation man, the Eternal is being attack by mass numbers of enemy MSs...
Kira still able to disable couples of enemy MS before his Strike's shield is blown up and suffer damage when he is trying to dock inside the Eternal...
You should know that the Strike is not even close to Freedom, and trying to fend off that many enemy's MS, its too hard for Kira to do so in Strike

Too hard for your god Kira! those pilots aren't even close to Kira's skill and strike still faster than zakus, Look at Shinn in impulse he managed to destroy nearly the entire EA fleet alone, he managed to destroy a Zamza too, and finaly by a help from rey he destroyed freedom, can your kira destroy destiny in strike or even in freedom? Yeah, but the situation is still different for Shinn and Kira...
When Shinn fighting against those EA forces, his mother ship Minerva got Rey and Lunamaria to defend against the enemies' MS, thats why he can fight without worrying about it...
And for Eternal, only Walfred was defending against the whole ZAFT fleet( 20 Nascar ) and uncountable MS, thats why Kira gotta fight and defend at the same time to save Eternal, unlike Shinn who has no worries and can concentrate to destroy his enemies

But Eternal was able to defend itself very good using it's weapons the 2 meteors and the missles, And really Walfred Still better than Luna and maybe as good as Rey and don't forget than Gaia maybe can do much more than a Zaku(in space you can fly faster), Shinn was defending Minerva at the start and he shot down a lot of windams, while Kira did nothing just shot 2 mses, at least Kira must have done something better than what he does as Walfred and Eternal will fight.

Walfred might be better than those 2, but you expect him to defend the Eternal against such a huge fleet of ZAFT ? Shinn is defending Minerva at the start, but after that the defend part is taken over by Rey and Luna, so he can focus to destroy his enemies...
And Kira aren't just shot down 2 MSs, he also disable few MSs and blocking the beam cannon from hitting Eternal which cause its Strike's shield destroyed... again, you just ignore the situation

Not really, those pilots aren't than skilled, they can be killed very easy,the Eternal can fire a big amount of missles at them and can use the meteors so it can shot down a lot of them and don't forget that Eternal could be better than those ships of Zaft so it can destroy some of them, And Walfred is better than any pilot of those so he can destroy some of them before Kira comes, and Kira always plays the role of attacker and defender at the same time, so what happened here?

In Seed he was able to protect Archangel from those four Zaft mses(buster, blitz,...) and other Zaft mses with just a help from Muw what happened here?, well Kira can fight free because Walfred is defending the Eternal and it's defending itself, just because there is a second pilot to defend Minerva doesn't mean that Zaft was in a better situation, Walfred still better and has a better ms.

In SEED, the Archangel is expecting a battle with ZAFT, thats why they are prepared and as soon as the enemies MSs is in sight, they can shoot it down...
And for Minerva, they are not in any better situation, but at least they can prepare for the worst

unlike Eternal who only got Walfred and he is busy to shoot down as many as he can, but the ship is huge and the enemies can always attack from other angel which making it difficult to defend... Kira always play the role as attacker and defender, thats right but consider his MS first, unlike Freedom, Strike doesn't has the multiple lock-on ability to disable multiple enemies' MSs at the same time

That's a lie.Shinn did not lose twice to Kira.Shinn destroyed the Freedom the first time they fought,and the second time they fought it was closer to a draw.Shinn also defeated Athrun once,and the was fighting him close before Lunamaria jumped in,and Athrun took advantage.

Go and see Seed how kira was defeated by those druggies the made freedom a junk and see ep 39 of destiny how rokkie zaft pilots nearly destroyed Kira's strike and defeated him, Shinn lost twice just to Athrun when the writer throw him back because guys like you cried a lot when they saw thier hero suffering against a kid, Shinn lost to heros however kira lost twice to idiots and rokkies and lost twice against heros and get a draw after a very hard battle against Raww.

I don't blame the writer just because shinn lost,I lost any hope of CE and I hate it now, I balme her coz the battle between Shinn and Athrun was bad, lose is lose, but losing after doing a great fight is different than losing after making no challenge, when ahtrun and kira lost they put up a great fight(except athrun lose to kira)but shinn's battle against athrun made no sense he didn't make a challenge, Shinn isn't better than Kira or Athrun(and they aren't)but it seemed a one sided battle.

Yeah, Shinn destroy the Freedom the first time, but the second time, Shinn isn't on his on to take on Kira, he got his back up from Rey with Legend and thus they handicap on Kira until Athrun arrive to even the odds...
I can only say that Lunamaria do a silly act coz Shinn who is in anger doesn't care about anyone even his own friend, if Athrun din't stop Shinn, Lunamaria would've die by Shinn's most famous Shining Finger

Really then why he gave Legend to Rey? don't fool yourself, Rey piloted the Zaku and was useless he didn't done anything important, Rey seemed that he made more challenge than Shinn because he just spam and spam he doesn't go to close combat very much just like Kira, thier suits are the same type and that why they were equalled in fighting but in Shinn's case it's different he always goes to close combat something that needs much more skill to do than just spamming.

in ep42, Kira took destiny's sword and destroyed the boomerang and wasn't able to defeat Shinn. In the last battle Rey lost very easy, Kira destroyed the Dragoons and Fired FB but Shinn lost because Luna helped Athrun he exploited the situation ,without Luna who knows if Shinn will lose or win?. And are you joking "Rey ALWAYS saves Shinn's @SS" he done that one time against S Freedom, do you think Rey can do much better than Shinn in Impulse against Freedom? can he defeat Freedom?

The Chairman gave the Legend to Rey because there isn't anyone who can really pilot the Legend after Athrun defect from ZAFT, don't forget that. And again, you seems too much into Shinns fighting styles with Destiny, and Destiny is Destiny, not all gundams fighting ability is like it, they all have different fighting styles... Yeah, Shinn is skilled in close combat, but Kira/Rey with their gundam is skilled at distance combat, coz not all pilot like Shinn

It was corrected in SE, Destiny didn't ran out of juice, and if the battle continues Kira wont make any trouble for Shinn except if he uses the sabers and Shinn knows how to avoid or to use the beam shield. But you need to watch the last battle again because Luna's silly move was the reason why Shinn lost(at least in that fast)see what happened to Shinn when Luna jumped there, she confused him more and more, he saw images and things then he found himself in front of Justice blocking the Palm.

Because Rey is smarter then he is better. I mean by Kira and Athrun being dead is that there are no human that can survive the explosion of freedom even if he switched the reactor off(it's a logic that kira is dead now) and Athrun is dead too because he can't survive from the gouf's explosion when it was destroyed by destiny.

Dullindal found out about Shinn's DNA and kind of sent "Rey" to be his friend, tag along with him, and kind of steer him in the direction he wanted. Their friendship was entirely fake. If Shinn didn't follow his "orders" at any point Rey would of just tried to kill him like anyone else who disobeyed.
You know what though, a Tribute to how sad Rey is sounds like a good idea now... I knew I forgot something! =p

Actually I'm not sure why this surprizes people, one thing fukuda actually does well is foreshadowing. You knew shinnxluna would be together because Athrun foreshadows it early in the series, just like you know rey will die by episode 20 or so (you see him run to play the piano =p). That, and if you thought ShinnxStellar made sense it doesn't. She is a psychopath, there was no hope for her =p
