  • watched these at the drive- in between movies

  • So this must go back to the Batman and Robin era. But I watched reruns in the 70s and 80s.

  • Yeahh wooo!

Had to watch this for an HONORS ENGLISH CLASS!

  • @MrSpikesMC ME TOO!

  • @soccerboii1997 Where do you go to school?

  • They did the MASH, they did the MONSTER MASH...

    Diaper Man sound like Popeye.

Tornado Man was always my favorite.

    Cuckoo Man was practically useless.

  • eh cuckoo, eh cuckoo

  • Classic!

  • i grew up as a kid , loving this cartoon! the animation and the prideful american theme opening alays makes me swell up with that old american pride! simple good over evil fun!!! thank you for keeping the memories alive!

  • Sorry, Cuckoo Man, your left is a right.

  • Thanks for posting, brings back great memories, love the music

  • All Monsters and Villiants have a Big Teeth...lol I hope they can Bring to many about this Cartoons like : The Ghost Monster, The Enlarger, The Toy Man, The Scarecrow, The Big Freeze, The Proton Pulsator, The Dusters, The Timekeeper, The Time Eraser, The Paper Monster, The Return Monsterizer as well....They're a good Cartoons and keeps all in my memories. Thank's Everyones. Please some one can find those more ?

  • @BorisaboramielX8

The villains all had YELLOW teeth.

The Super-Friends once had Rope Man visit in order to get a mouse out of a giant computer, when all the Super Friends failed.

  • Mighty Heroes is timeless and still great!

  • omg I could remember everything but the name for years. Thank you so much for posting this. Wow

  • You fightin or sayin goodbye??

  • This was far ahead of its time.............

  • This had one of the best, if too short, themes of all the Saturday Morning cartoons.

Somebody needs to do a cover of this.

Maybe Lady Gaga can drop Madonna for THIS.

  • Terrytoons.Unforgrtable.

  • awww man great!!! Thanks so much for posting this!! Brings back good ol'e memories.... born in 71, had lots of fun!

  • Strong Man - Dwayne the Rock Johnson

    Cuckoo Man - Jim Carry

    Tornado Man - Danny Devito

Rope Man - David Tennent (from Doctor Who)

Diaper Man - a Baby (with a load of help from ILM)

  • Yes! Yes! A million times yes!! !

  • I didn't think I would ever see this cartoon again.

  • Finally!!! I was born in 1965 and watched this with my two older brothers. Best cartoon EVER. They had no recollection and thought I was making it up.

Thanks so much for finding it and sharing with the rest of us!!

  • I knew a diaper man once. Not the kind of fellow you'd call in an emergency. He was better during...actually, you know what? There was never a good time to have him around. Unless you were trying to convince your girlfriend "hey, I could be a lot worse" and she said "like how?" and you needed someone to point at.

Actually, Rope Man would come in handy there too. "It's just a cheerleader costume. Lighten up. Look, I bought two so you can wear one as well."

  • Many many great memories!!! And yes a very underated cartoon. It had some of the best villians and monsters!

  • I haven't just taken a trip down memory lane...I fell down the stairs. This was one of my favorite cartoons as a child.

  • Love that music--soo cool!

  • Memories of this also reminded me of the cool monsters made by some artist I can't remember from the 70s. He did a rat with bulging, droopy eyes. Great animation and writing on this one too.

  • What a treat haven't seen this in 30+ years! It was the only reason to watch Mighty mouse after school, lol.

  • I always liked the freaky cool music that played with this show!

  • This was produced by the same Cartoonist that did the Fritz the Cat Series in the 70s and the Mighty Mouse Series in the late 80s. Ralph Bashki.

  • FYI: drop down cribs are widely banned in the U.S. Diaper Man is in a recalled crib LOL

  • whoa , i was like 5 or 6 when this cartoon was first aired and i still love it!!!! again, thanx for making a old man young !!!!! shazam1059

  • a baby, as a super hero, fuckin brilliant!

  • Love the popeye voice on Diaper Man. I remember when I was little. Laughed every time this cartoon came on, one of my favorites!

  • The Asian stereotype aside, this was easily the best of the Mighty Heroes. I loved how it opens with the epitome of the darkest childhood nightmares, only to counter it with a blast of bright colours and brassy music as the call goes out for the superheroes.

  • Anticipating "Mystery Men" by 30 years.

  • @major600 You're right I never thought of that.

  • I have to laugh at no matter how bad things got they were always polite!

  • How much money do you think the city had in their budget just to send out the call for the heroes? Seems like a lot of money for all the fireworks, and special lighting effects. LOL

  • for 7:01 i was 8 years old.....i always wanted to be diaper man

  • Master animator Ralph Bakshi was the man behind this cartoon series. I , like many of you watched this as a kid and thought is was weirdl and funny... especially Diaper Man.... He was ahead of his time. Who knew that Diapers would be a fetish these days... LOL

  • I must say that when I think of Bakshi, I don't think of this. It's definitely not as weird as most of his stuff.

  • Diaper Man always looked like he would be all sticky and smell bad.

  • The Might yHeroes always would always end up beating themselves during their first encounter with the villian & then just barely win the rematch.

They had absolutely the worst team work of any superhero team ever. They would make the Avengers & Justice League cringe.

  • I loved this cartoon as a kid too. Awesome that I could find it again after all these years.

  • I loved this cartoon. Such an awesome theme too.

  • Ha ha. Thanks for posting this. I haven't seen this in 30+ years.

  • WOW I was looking for these forever and could not find them thank you for posting this..my husband did not remember this cartoon I LOVED it and watched it in reruns but could not think of the name what memories!!! Great show!

  • That was all the same voice actor wasnt it?

  • I thought there would be more episodes. Unfortunately, there were only 21 made. It would've been nice if someone would have revived it.

My favorite was Tornado Man, but it seemed like they didn't give him that much to say (the other four got the good lines). Rope Man was pretty cool, too; though at times he talked too much.

  • The Mighty heroes cartooon may be the most underarted of them all, great music, theme and way funny cool Thx for posting!

  • This brings back childhood memories for sure!

  • the great thing about youtube is how it connects us back to our childhood.

  • I used to watch this all the time. These must come out on a dvd, they're classic!

  • They need to release this stuff!!

  • I remember another cartoon that I used to watch in the early 80's...it was about a squid and I think he lived at a circus tent...he was always sitting in a bucket of water, I think he used to make the circus owner angry...does anyone else remember this?...what was the name of it? It's been so long I can't remember, but I know I watched it around 1982.

  • I think you were watching reruns of "Squidly Diddly". He lived at an aquarium like Sea World.

  • You're right! Thanks man, I have been trying to remember that name for years now.

  • Squiddly Diddly, Hanna Barbera 60s

  • Dig that music man. I am so happy to stumble across this. I have also been asking people if they remembered this for years, usually met with blank stares.

    YouTube is power!

  • OMG I can't believe I found this. I used to LOVE this cartoon. I have been asking people for YEARS now if they remember this and every once in a while someone will say it's vaguely familiar. A friend of mine was smart and thought to look here on YouTube!!! I knew I wasn't crazy!!!! Thanks for posting this up. This totally brings back childhood when cartoons were still good!!!

  • I loved this cartton as a kid, bings back memories.

  • I love the drawings and design of this cartoon!

  • I used to love this cartoon. I would love to get it on DVD. Hopefully, I can find it. Thanks for posting. It brings back some great memories......

  • This takes me way back. Thanks

  • I could not think for nothing the name of this cartoon. I had to ask my big sister and she told me that it came on with Mighty Mouse. When I found Might Mouse she was right there it was. I just remember watching this when I was a little girl in the early 70's. Too bad they do not show cartoons like this anymore. Thanks for the memories!

  • what memories!..thanks for the posting!

  • one of the best cartoons of all time anyone know where i can find a copy of this cartoon.

  • Ebay! Sells burned copies

  • I loved this show. The guys on my street and I used play we were them all the time, I was Diaper Man.

  • damn it searched all over for these guys. they were in betweeners on the mighty mouse cartoons where i am.

  • ha! who had to be Cuckoo Man? When my friends and I played Mighty Heroes, no one ever wanted to be Cuckoo Man. We'd rather be the villain than him. Mighty Heroes had the greatest theme song.

  • OMG, I loved this cartoon. Once it came on t.v. nothing else existed. lol

I liked it because they always worked together and were so polite when they screwed up ("Sorry, Rope Man." "Sorry, fellas.")

  • Man what memories.. These used to be played in L.A. on Sunday's during the 70's with Popeye. THANK YOU!!!!!

  • Some of the GREATEST cartoons of al Time!!

  • I loved this cartoon as a kid. The Might Heroes were the best in addition to all the other cartoons I watched back in the day.

  • you must not have grown up with this shit. it f'n rocks, dammit.

  • I grew up with this but I was in elementary school and I fucking loved it. But I didn't notice as a kid that they had that accent. I also liked the original Spider Man cartoon and Iron Man and Mighty Mouse and Popeye.

  • I Love This Episode The Monsterizer I Like his laugh but can someone upload The Return Of The Monsterizer Please and Thankies!

  • Great Comedy Relief Teamwork!!

  • I always thought it was called Havens Heros, years and mileage clouds the brain.

  • How about uploading the one where Cuckooman, Ropeman, Strongman and Tornadoman get sent back in time?

  • i could never remember the name of this show (cuz i was so freakin young)but i always remembered the names of the heroes.this brings me back

  • don't ask how Ropeman passed the physical to become a sailor.

    I know it's just a cartoon.

    It's just a joke.

  • Anybody remember the episode where COOCOO MAN saved the day? The rest of the gang had been captured and he got birds to come rescue them!

  • With all the comic superheros being made into live movies. I'd like to see this done into one too. And with computer effects it would look cool.

  • Might be fun to go "modern' and have some black ex-football player be Strongman, some Asian stringbean be Ropeman...have some female hero try to join the group...especially if she was compentent!

  • use to watch this on jp patches oh so long ago. couldn't remember the name but always remembered the characters. thx for the posting

  • Thanx for posting. Thought about them the other day & thought, "they've got to be on you tube", & here they are. Always liked "Tornado man"!

  • 1966,4TH Grade!! Wow,I MISS THIS STUFF.Very cool theme song(jazzy!!)Little feller,is what Strong Man always called Diaper Man!!Is this on DVD?

  • Awesome stuff my friend. Some of the best stuff that Terrytoons ever put out. They need to have on official DVD release, not just bootlegs. If only Paramount could what a treasure they have in their vaults.

  • I agree because I would love a Mighty Heroes set as well!

  • what memories!..thanks for the posting!

P.S-As a kid, I was Tornado man! LOL!

  • I loved them when I was a kid. So much. Now looking at them I'm thing "man they were some f***ups" Wow. Very cool.

  • "Sorry about that, Cuckooman"--what's not to love? The Mighty Heroes were my favorite cartoons. I love the heroes, villains, the cool 60s music, etc. Were they ever released on DVD????

  • These guys were the best, but didn't they apologize to each other a lot?

    Oh well.....

    "Go Cuckooman, Go!"

  • These guys were the best, but didn't they apologize to each other alot?

    Oh well.....

    "Go Cuckooman, Go!"

  • Loved that 'driving' theme music!

  • Thank you!!! I never ever thought I would see these guys again.

  • kickin' it old school lol

  • Now this is most certainly a blast from my childhood!!! Damn Saturday Morning Cartoons were the best!!!

  • does anybody have the one were they came out of retirement?

  • this was the cartoons that was worth watching in the afternoon. these are the ones thatmade you LUAO. I remember it was a cool line up. "A CALL GOES OUT FOR THE MIGHTY HEROES!"

  • I've always loved the mighty heroes, but... does anyone else think that their catoons are just a bit formulaic?

  • Oh sure,

But it's not like you would get something like a

"With great power comes great responsibility"

Marvel style storyline with this series.

  • A true classic. They don't make them like this anymore.

  • probaly bakshi had more presupuest in this than in spiderman.

  • Boy did I watch this cartoon. I haven't seen this since I was a kid. I still love it!! and I remember this episode!!! Thanks for a great flashback!!

  • The first time I've seen them was when they appeared in the 1990's Mighty Mouse cartoon when they retired. This is a really good parody on superhero comics.

  • This show is rediculous! lol lol I love Cuckoo Man!! XD I miss these kind of cartoons sooo much, they NEVER put as much awesome into 'um as they did with these. *sob* Oh, how I miss them. *sinffle* So many of my favorites were taken off the air! *mega sob* one of my favorite cartoons and movies was the Mickey Mouse animated things. Especially Goofey and Pluto!!!! Waaah! Give them back!! *sob sob sob*

  • Only thing I DON'T like about this is how they cut out the "To Be Continued" bit! LOL

Thanks a MILLION for posting this! :)

I remember these first-run, and NEVER missed it back in '66!

  • The Mighty Heroes - Rope Man, Cuckoo Man, Strong Man, Diaper Man and Tornado Man!

  • They don't make'em like they used to anymore.

  • Wow!! I've considered myself a connoisseur of my own memories, yet I TOTALLY forgot about this show until now. Thanks for the detailed history, it did help me: I associated this style with Don Martin's "Kapt. Klutz" in MAD magazine of the early 70's, and your syndication info cleared up that conflict.

  • Same here as with most of you-I remmeber this when I was a little guy. The striking theme song was hard to forget, and also, I remember Strong Man always calling Diaper Man little buddy all the time. Funny how some things stick with you.

  • Yeah, I know whatcha' mean. ^^

  • SWEET!!!!!!!!!!

Now I remember why I started collecting comics.

  • Jesus...Seeing this for the first time in 25 years is incredible! Feels like an acid flashback without the acid..

  • awsome damn im old

  • Love the music!

  • Same here.

  • Absolutely fabulous! I was about 7 when this was on the Mighty Mouse show. The only thing missing was that there would be a little snippet of gloom and doom, and then they would come back to the cartoon and they would get there sh!t together.

  • I loved this when I was little. It was so nice to see it again :)

  • WOW, sad as it is seeing this brought a tear to my eye. I was 8 yrs old again. Thank you so much for posting this, I love it. 5 stars and well deserved.

  • great score!

  • I was 4 years old and I remember this, especially Diaper Man.

  • monsterizer sounds like teddy kennedy

  • this show and kiss trading cards back in the 70s.

  • I just love these old cartoons would like to get them all on DVD.

  • " Try 2 explain a baby , a rope , a tornado.a cuckoo, and a stong man to your friends, in the 1960's ., They thought I was weird ? laughs are free., smiles last forever! "

  • EXTREME FLASHBACK-THANKS

  • I remember this show! Thanks for bringing back a piece of my childhood. LOL

Geez, what have they been doing, putting pureed spinach in Diaper Man's bottle? *laughs* He sounds like Popeye.

  • " I have been telling people for over 20 years ,, this is the greatest ever ,,,"

  • I hate to make every one feel old but diaper man is now 41 years old.

  • this was the shiznit in the 70's and 80's. the jits these days don't know about these cartoons.aA TRU CLASSIC!!!!

  • mighty heroes ooown

  • well reason no was renewed cause the wonderful children network had it can...said was to volience for kids n had nudeity....that was on esp. where diaper man lost his diaper n was nude

  • I've heard of the Mighty Heroes and the Cartoon Network has become too "WACK" to put cartoons like this on their network. You'll have a better chance getting the "Boomerang" Network.

  • this is classic cartoon television...ask your parents!!!

  • OH CRAP! Sorry, but it's been years since i've seen this! i had nearly forgotten about this series! Bravo to you for uploading this, Cement Roots!

  • Too bad they don't make cartoons that creative anymore!

  • I think its on DVD now. but great of you to share, thanks for posting this. One of my all time favorites.

  • I wish more people would've known about this cartoon!

  • BRAVO!!! I never thought I'd see anothe episode of this classic from happy days past.

  • Awesome! This might be my all-time favorite cartoon. It needs to be put on Cartoon Network. A true classic and no one has ever heard of it!!

  • i've heard of it
