I've been looking for this song for many years, I had it on a tape when I was younger, one of my favorate songs ever. You tube has blessed me. Theres no telling how many times I'm gonnna replay this. Thanks willofgod, thanks thanks , thanks. God Bless You.
I love this version better because Twinkie is singing it better than Lejuene. Is that Jackie singing? The DL version had better harmony but I love this one better. Arnetta was blowing on the DL version.
The point of this song to me is that God cares first of all. No matter how great or small the problem, all we have to do is give it over to the Lord. Everything that goes on with us concerns him. Like the song says if he cause the tree to bear fruit, and if he cause the seasons to change from the fall winter summer and spring, I just have to cast all my cares on him.
I had no idea that this was originally made by the Clark Sisters! But then again, there is no surprise! They were so ahead of their time it's absolutely ridiculous! God's purpose for them was absolutely clear!
Yes it is mine TOO! I always try to convince Twinkie to redo this song. OMG its so powerful if you listen to the words. I think all of the Clark Sisters fans need to always bring this up to them.
I AGREE WITH WHAT YOU ARE SAYING. Although, remember this original recording was a long time ago....the DL version is much more fresh and musically enhanced. But I still agree with you
Thank you for posting this nothing against Donald but I could not understand a word of this song when he did it but now I now the words Thanks again!!!!
I just heard Donald Lawrence version for the first time. I had to turn it off. I might be in the minority, but I didn't like it. It is strange, because I am a huge fan of Donald's.
Man oh man. The memories. I had to move suddenly and had to leave a lot of my albums. It was a nightmare when somebody picked up the wrong pile. ALL OF MY CLASSIC GOSPEL ALBUMS ARE GONE GONE GONE...I had this album. I was a die hard fan of thiers...........
How about bed ridden.......I do have a friend who has a lot of those albums, he does not have a record player, but if he gives them to me, i'll put them on my hard drive from my USB turntable and burn disks for him.
What bothers me is I don't understand why some company can't re release this on CD? I know it's all about money, but I tell you if they ever re released this Sincerly album, it would probrably go GOLD. SOooo many people want this on CD.
Ain't nothing like the real thing! Not taking anything away from Donald, cuz his version is all that. He knew he couldn't just do a Clark Sister remake, he had to bring it. But I agree with jboazmajesty, it's easy to manipulate someone elses work...It's all good though, I know there's lots of love and respect between Donald and the Clark Sisters.
The very first time I heard the Clark sisters was in person at Bailey Cathedral, Detroit. They were singing "He Gave Me Nothing To Lose, But All To Gain". At that very moment I was HOOKED!! And I never dreamed or thought that I would get to know these lovely people. The Lord did it.
I like this version better because I can understand what they are saying. Donald's version was more perfected but it's easy to manipulate someone else's work than to come up with it yourself. Plus the lead on this song I'm feeling them a whole lot more than Lejuene.
i love when twinkie sings her part dorinda and karen just takes it home as always these are the best in gospel,i wish they still sound like this i know age has hit them a little bit but the anointing is the same yesterday and today go clark sisters
The Clark Sisters are the absolute GREATEST singers/vocalists in the history of music. Their harmonies and abilities have made them the inspiration for so many other singers and musicians across the world[Gospel and secular]. This is only my opinion, but I am sure there are others who agree with me. I first want to thank God for creating these awesome women and bestowing on them the gift of music, and then their parents for having them and instilling in them a love and fear of God.
You are so right!!!! They influenced Faith Evans, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Demetria Champ, Tarralyn Ramsey, Whitney Houston, Lil Mo, Deborah Cox, Mary J. Blige, Xscape, En Vogue, SWV, Missy Elliott, Christina Aguilera, Blu Cantrell, Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary, Kim Burrell, Fantasia, Brandy, Monica, Kelly Price, Kierra "Kiki" Sheard, Conya Doss, Jill Scott, Carol Riddick, etc. The Clark Sisters are the most influential female Gospel group in music history !!!! I LOVE YOU CLARK SISTERS!!!!!
I also name some gospel artists in here too. They either said it or I can tell that The Clark Sisters have some influence in their vocals, even if it's a little bit. They influenced the Gospel and the Secular side according to numerous sources. If it wasn't for them, they wouldn't try to do all the runs, riffs and growls. They are the queens of that in my opinion. They are the most influential female gospel group in music history.
Thank you. I mean, if you listen to secular artists like Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Coko of SWV (she's full gospel now), Faith Evans, Whitney Houston, Brandy, Monica, Christina Aguilera, Jill Scott, Lil Mo, Blu Cantrell, Mary J Blige, Missy Elliott, Fantasia, and Kelly Price, you will hear the influence of The Clark Sisters in their vocals whether if it's a little bit or a lot. The Clark Sisters influenced the gospel AND the secular arena.
rc thank you thank you thank you thank you so much

same here, less runs so you can hear what theyre saying. Runs are cool, but sometimes in excess, they can ruin a song for me.
