This is still under consideration, there is legislation pending. They want to take all the 401(k) savings, pool them with Social Security, then "spread the wealth around" by giving part to the people that don't have any retirement savings as a "credit". This is why you cannot rely on favorable tax policy in planning retirement savings, they can change the terms on you in a minute.

Exactly! I feel the same way! I took all my Roth IRA money out like 6 months before this shit hit the fan, nearly 4k! I used it all too!!! My 401k was 8k and it now 4500k!!!!!!!!!! Glad I got something before going bust!
