  • @TheCoolsaf007 Please post your issues at tonymacx86. I don't really provide support here.

  • i cant find the kext files, give me a proper link, the one in discription doesnt wrk

  • @TheCoolsaf007 This is a very old method. You can use MultiBeast.

  • hey I have ATI Mobility Radeon 4250 in my laptop. is it possible you can pm me for more information on how I can obtain a kext for this card. Thanks!

  • Do you know if the Asus 5770 will work out of box with Lion on a mac pro? Ive been hearing rumors that Lion is now supporting many ATI video cards (pc) out of the box..

  • Hey there beelzeb0z0, I watch all your hackintosh videos and they are a huge help. I just bout a hd5570 and I had it working while connected to DVI. But I tried swiitching to HDMI and the display would turn black after white apple screen on boot. I tried to switch back to DVI but it also gives me a black screen now. Tried booing in verbose but same thing. Suggestions?

  • Very Nice, we must thank you!!!

Works very very fine on my PC:

    Phenom II X2 555 @X4 3.8GHz - ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO - 2x2 DDR3 1333 - Saphire HD5770 , with Snow Leopard 10.6.

    Good Luck aways!!!

  • @beelzeb0z0 can you help get my Sapphire ATI radeon hd 4670 graphics card working. I run on IATKOS S3 V2 I also have the retail Snow Leopard 10.6.3 disc.

  • @aerosmithkor Nope, I don't help with pirated software installs.

  • @beelzeb0z0 ok can you help with a retail DVD install then, because I do have the retail 10.6.3 disc which i did buy from the Apple store here in KY.

  • @aerosmithkor Please visit the tonymacx86 website, register, and post your install issues there.

  • I got a blue screen that doesnt go away after doing this. How do i fix it?

  • thank you for this tutorial!!!!

  • can hd5870 use?

  • @cathay2582 I believe so. Visit tonymacx86 and check out MultiBeast for ATI cards.

  • You are a fuking legend mate thankyou so much

  • i realy need this i have a 33 inch and and 1080x720 is a little small

  • btw:kool vid !

  • Does the card supports 3 Monitors under OSX86? Would be nice to hear that it is!!!

  • @derpumakl Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to even test if HDMI worked. I ended up selling my 5770 because overall, it was a crappy video card even in Windows 7 and OS X. My 8800 GTS runs better.

  • @beelzeb0z0 oh, that suprises me! the 5770 should be much faster than yout 8800GTS! Even under Windows... Even my 4870 is faster than a 8800 GTS...

    :(

  • @derpumakl Honestly, I couldn't even tell the difference.

  • This method of installing a 5770 is outdated. Search online for tonymacx86 for a much easier, simpler guide to install an ATI HD 5770 GPU.

  • @beelzeb0z0 will this let me boot into 64bit?

  • @PointOfYouTV 64-bit Kernel and Extensions is an option in MultiBeast, it's optional. For more info, go to the tonymacx86 website.

  • The Extra folder is not there? what should I do?

  • @Neosferaku

You need to run MultiBeast and select a utility in the installer for showing hidden files. This will give you access to that folder which is hidden by default.

  • Hmmm to buy this or pay extra for the Apple version. It's a gamble if it'll work on a 2008 Mac Pro..

  • @RudestBuddhist

Look online for Netkas.org. There is a way to hack the video card ROM and make it work on a real MAC. He's got a guide on his web site.

  • How is your monitor connected to your pc, do you only have ONE connector with your screen or do you have TWO connectors on your screen?

I only have one DVI PORT connected so is this possible for me...

  • @pleaseineedhelp2010 1 monitor connected to the DVI connector.

  • i can't find my "extra" folder, it's not there. i'm running chameleon rc5

  • @xCYBERKIDx well nevermind i got it to work, thanks :)

  • I think it is not needed to delete the nvidia.kext drivers - they arent loaded/used if you change gpu type.

  • @mitchmacde Yeah, I didn't think so either, however there are multiple people saying to delete them where they were successful getting their 5770 to work so I did what they suggested. I haven't tried leaving the NVidia kexts but maybe I will test later on. I see your point, it doesn't really make sense to delete those kexts in the case that you have to put an Nvidia card back in.

  • Oh my god you frikken rock!!!!!!!!!!

  • You, sir, are a life saver. Spent many many hours trying to get my 5770 to work before I saw this. Thank you. Oh, and for anyone else that is following this, follow his steps right after you run multibeast before you restart your computer.
