It's on the album Brazen. It's available on iTunes.

  • I love there costumes and the music

  • I luv the new work of Indigo, with Le Serpent Rouge... I was the luck to see Mardi live in Barcelona --sorry for my english so XD

  • The point is, she's not the "old" anything. She's evolving, like the rest of us. Who wants to see the same old darn thing all the time anyway? Geesh, some of you guys.....

  • I love it when they dance to this song.

  • The name of this song is "Opa Cupa"...

  • thx u u are very sweetie and cool thx so much

  • hey waht is the name of that song is so cooooool i like it^^

  • hahaha they looks very sexy with that clothes !! somebody know the name of the song is pretty nice ^^

  • *Indigo Also forgot to add that they don't put any limits on their dance. If they think something looks cool/will complement their performance, or if it just feels right, they're like, "Hell, let's do it." hahaha, those girls are amazing!

  • Yes, Rachel did cabaret for 10 years, then switched to tribal. This clip here I believe is the Inigo on their Le Serpent Rouge tour. It's fun, it's different, refreshing, and is still tribal fusion. Rachel did make a point of saying that what you see here isn't the Indigo's new permanent style. But hey, let's face it, the Indigo girls rock at anything they do and their performances are ALWAYS CRAZY COOL =D I love you girls!

  • No...

She made cabaret belly dance style in that 10 years, kinda diferent. I don´t know much more about her, but I think this is not the old Rachel...

  • I think this if GREAT............ so much fun and soooo cheeky.

Makes me think of Saloon girl meets can can dancer.

  • they are combining flamenco and fusion tribal belly dance with a little bit of tango

  • WOw.....this is so fun to dance to!

  • realmente son autenticas!!!!!! son sensacionales me encanta!!!!!!

  • this is just f****** amazing i could watch it and listen to that song 24/7....

  • they sure look like rosabelle's to me

  • I love their costumes and the expressions are their faces were making me crack up! This particular style feels a bit 'naughty' with the short fronted skirts and body language dont u think?

  • What brand of boots are they wearing that they can dance like that in them?

  • Are they the John Fleuvog Rosabelle's?

  • yup they are...super comfy...*disclaimer* I work for Fluevog...these boots are not designed for constant performance dancing...you have to take really good care of them to withstand what belly dance can do to them

  • Thanks a lot meems :)

  • What does "I miss the old RB mean"?

Wow, after seeing this, I can honestly say Zoe has the most personality of any dancer i have seen in my life EVER!

  • RB is amazing now as she was when she first started but apart of me agrees that i also miss the old RB. She had more dark tribal-ness to her and dance more slow snakey and just more tribal fusion, :)

This new style is more saloon cabaret tribal. But don't get me wrong i like the new style too. Reinvention is always important cause it keeps the audience interested and not bored with the same old thing! :)

  • I hear she cabaret for 10 years before she even did tribal. If that's the case than this IS the old Rachel. Lol.

  • this is tribal fusion, cabaret belly dance style is not that.this is part of the le serpent rougue act that the indigo formed.and indigo is a tribal fusion dance group.

  • Yes, you are right of course, they are Tribal, but much more Fusion if you get my play. I think the overall feel of Le Serpant Rouge is more of a cabaret type of atmosphere because of the heavy French influence throughout (or in this paticular song, Romani/Balkan). A very invnitive and very fun fusion no matter what you decide to call it in the end.

  • yea it is more cabaret type of atmosphere, but the dancing isnt.the dancing is pure tribal fusion.the turns, the arches in the back, the arm movements.Cabaret style bellydance,is not what we quite think of cabaret in western terms.rachel brice did egyptian cabaret.a good example to watch is ansuya(i hope i spelt her name rite)

  • Yes, yes, I agree. I was taught in cabaret. I didn't mean cabaret in the Western sense, even though cabaret means similar things in both the East and Western terminology; fun, flashy, bright, etc. I'm not a big fan of Ansuya actually. She's a good dancer but she's SO busy ALL the time! Lol. The Classical Egyptian dancers I know agree with me. I do respect her a dancer though. She's amazing.

  • i know! shes so all ova the place.. it makes my eyes twitch.sumtimes i feel like shes like u know those latin dancers at competitions theyre so ratatatata!chahchahcah!

  • Lol YES exactly!

  • yea i did spell it rite, just checked, also try the legendary Samia Gamal and Nagwa fouad(earlier 1950s videos) at the time back home in the middle east dancers costumes and movies where influenced by Las Vegas and vice versa.

  • I'm not sure I've seen either of those before. I'll deffinatly check them out. I love that older stuff though. It's always SO funny in the old movies how over dramatic they can be with the men just gawking and drooling while watching the dance. Lol.

  • haha, well the movie is old and the men are arabian so wat do u expect:P if u liked it,it is my mission in the world to let everyone know about Naima Akef.I grew up watching her on tv.Try and find historical material to read about her.She is a very important lady in my culture.she started it all really.

  • Oh, yes Naima. My teacher is very fond of her too. The first few days of her class all we did were watch old movies of great dancers in history. I have so much respect for Naima Akef.

  • for real man,and her story is so amazing,u know after she didnt even knwo how to read and write when she started (came from a syrian circus family moved to egypt) then she tought her self how to read and speak french italian and english..respect.. respect...plus much respect to her eye make up.

  • Yeah. She's so inspiring. That's passion right there. An amazing woman.

  • I think the word you're looking for, rather than "saloon cabaret", is "burlesque". This is burlesgue. Burlesque is fun, but don't confuse it with cabaret or tribal.

  • this is not burlesque...that is a form of striptease. Tribal is fusing lots of different things right now, including old timey stuff

  • Oh, for crying out loud - before you correct someone's use of a term, look it up in any online or hardcopy standard (Webster, Oxford, Encarta) dictionary. You could even try Wikipedia. Burlesque is any bawdy, earthy humor which parodies a serious topic. Mae West and W.C. Fields were the epitome of burlesque. Can-can is burlesque. In the pure literary and theatrical sense of the word, this performance IS burlesque. And that's a compliment!

  • Burlesque, by the way, is not "dirty". Burlesque shows in the US starting in about the 1950s included striptease, and striptease became thereby associated with burlesque (but keep in mind that not all burlesque is striptease by any means, and not all striptease qualifies for the compliment of being called burlesque).

  • so lovely! these girls never stop progressing as artists, always reinventing themselves - that is so inspiring.

  • "Opa Cupa" by Brass Menazeri

  • Does anyone know the name of this song please ?

  • Delightful and enchanting, as usual. I love Zoe's perfectly seamless cover up as she knocks over the mic stand at 1.27! What a brilliant recovery! Classy, cheeky and refreshing...

  • I miss the old RB...

  • i love this clip...i just wish the camera person didn't cut off mardi love's solo

  • Cannot wait till (or if) they come to Chicago.... Love this

  • Wow! I am impressed! I love their costumes! That is such a different look for Rachel Brice & Crew, and I really like it!

  • I'm speechless

  • wow!!! I swear...It never ceases to amaze me at how spectacularly talented these ladies are!!!

  • "Nice boots!"

    Now thats hilarious!!!

    Awesome clip, LELELELELEYIP!

  • I love where Rach stops spinning and checks her hair....ehehehe
