  • Am I the only one who found this insight to be incredibly depressing?

  • Prof Chomsky has made use of every "opportunity" to vilify his own country. He is known for absurd charges such as 'U.S. is a criminal state' and 'U.S. is a terrorist state', all the while cozying up to the truly noxious regimes of the world like those in Venezuela and Cuba.

Yes, some of us do unfortunately waste our lives. And there are some, like Prof Chomsky, who will leave this world having done a lot more damage than good

  • @gangster3591 haha, cool story bro. The only way to respond to a comment as ignorant and stupid as yours is to say the following - The shit that chomsky squeezes out of his ass each morning is worth more than what you've done in your entire life.

  • If we could just find out who's in charge, we could kill him. - George Carlin

  • Youtube is full of bullshit artists, too bad there isn't a little intellectual "control" on it . . .

  • @geezeryoungopinions I'll take control. My first act as controller will be to flag your message as spam.

  • I question I've been asking my whole life....

  • I look back and see myself looking forward.

  • a simple yet irrefutable point.

  • Chomsky: the encyclopedia of everything that is "right" (prepares to be intellectually assaulted by my fellow philosophukers for using the word "right")

  • I just found my new homepage.

  • this question keeps me up at night

  • There's nothing wrong with just existing. :)

  • @ilkkavu if a function gives man purpose, meaning and happiness, then it can be safely said, without a function, man will never be happy. See Erick Erickson's last stage of development(wisdom versus despair). It's essentially what Chomsky is referring to.

  • Because I didn't want to kill myself. xD

  • @ilkkavu I guess what he means is...at an older age one's perspective on their own past changes. You don't want to look back with regrets of not doing much or contributing more.

  • To quote George Carlin, "You show me a guy sitting at home stroking his penis and watching game shows, and I'll show you someone who isnt causing trouble."

  • @dimogoblin LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • when i heard it i thought of all of the people we are shoving to get to the top. while we sell our selves out with the need to cling to acidemics ,reading, and being liked to prove our worth. in the end you end up with nothing worth living for. you no longer are living as yourself but as another person who gave up there morels and integrity & the best of yourself to eat and live and win favour.

but you dont fight injustice or stand up 4 what is right..then it's all taken away from us 1 by 1.

  • What this guy is really saying is why do other people who haven't "achieved" the level he and others have why do they bother living. What is a person is content just being. After all existence is in voluntary. we are not asked to be born. I think that question is stuck up and probably always comes from a person scared of examining there own life.

  • @lightandbeautiful yawn...they are victims. Here i'll paint you a very simple picture for your very simple brain. Freedom to marry anyone you choose (except gays); gays demand rights; rights denied; leads to oppressed group of people based on sexual preference = victim.

I hope you have a gay child one day. Oh but I forgot, only gays give birth to gay kids...err...wait a minute...how exactly does that work?

  • Please visit my channel for the unpopular truth about homosexuality.

A person does not need hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important differences between heterosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption and homosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption. Even non-religious people know this.

Homosexual activists, with support from the media, have succeeded at framing themselves as noble victims; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.

  • @lightandbeautiful If you were a Homosexual you would realize that you are an idiot

  • @lightandbeautiful

Every activity/group always seems to "succeed at framing themselves as noble victims with support from the media" --I mean, at least thats what's always claimed by the opposition. I lol'd.

  • @Jugglesama

Don't regard this an appeal to emotion, regard is as an appeal to common humanity. Stop what you're doing for one moment and think, that's all I ask.

  • @BelfastAtheist

I'm not regarding it with emotion at all because I know it's retarded. You don't know how many times I've heard that phrase tossed around to the "enemy" -- that and "wake up". And concerning your point, so what? Even if the majority of homosexuals weren't harassed (which they usually are), they still have the right to themselves to do whatever they please. This includes family, marriage, sexual behavior, and adoption.

  • @BelfastAtheist

I don't believe it's anything special or boast-worthy to be homosexual because to me it seems completely normal, but if gays want to organize pride festivals and celebrate, then it's within their right and perfectly fine. Even if they get media attention, they shouldn't be effecting what YOU do in bed or what YOUR attractions are. There's not really any debating it because passed that point, the subject is retarded. People love who they love -- get over it.

  • @Jugglesama

I thought you were being homophobic.. I don't know what you're telling me to get over, but sure.

    Bye now.

  • @BelfastAtheist

I replied to the wrong post. It was @lightandbeautiful My bad...

  • @Jugglesama

We've all done it, no bother.

  • @lightandbeautiful

I'm a non-religious person, so are almost all my friends and I've never heard this, partially because it's grossly offensive, partially because it's undemonstratable and partially because it sounds like the sort of bollocks that gets people laughed at when they say it.

You have no idea what Gays really go through.. do you? You have no idea why the Gay drug scene is the way it is? Why I've met Gays that take heroin because they can't cope with the pain of living?

  • Other works you might wish to read are: Le Livre Noir du Capitalisme or Le livre noir du colonialisme. Both of which highlight the staggering costs of capitalism and imperialism. We can talk of other works but that is simply chasing red herrings (which I prefer as snacks at lunch, rather than as fare for the soul). More to the point, why do I bother living? As Chomsky suggests, be "helpful and constructive"; more fruitful than temporary anxiety-coping fetishes brought about by capitalism.

  • Whatever you think about what he says he made you think didn't he? I don't agree with everything he says but at least he's a thinker

  • So you dont think its 100 million but 90 million?

  • Why is it that every time I hear this man speak I begrudge the few who have access to his ideas? Here is a humanitarian and hopeful individual who is ignored,

Chomsky grew up listening to people discussing the news at a newstand, people with local, regional and international concerns, small wonder then how he comes to embody such internationalist, humanistic and progressive ideas.

Yes, live a life worth living, not by the breaths taken but by the sighs.

    Inspiration, Noam; perhaps they'll see..

  • @markse4444 He believes in socialism and communism which resulted in at least 100 million deaths.

  • @brandy1000sissy,

Do not overessentialize Chomsky. Do not define or label him.

What kind of a life do you wish to live? What kind of a life do you wish for others?

Is competition, no-holds-barred 'rugged individualism your style? Let us repast on

the bones of our fellows, hmmm?

You see, I not only dispute your figure but respond by pointing out that the most rapacious

autocrats in history have been utterly humbled by the self-service displayed by those you

seem to prefer in the present.

  • @markse4444 Have you heard of "The black book of communism"?

  • @brandy1000sissy

I have and am delighted you use it to boister your argument since most reputable scholars view it as simply another instance of essentialist reductionism. It oversimplifies and generalizes events in different regions with different regimes and different degrees of communism (really, oligarchies who depict themselves as communists) . When a book insists on a dichotomy in order to support itself, it is clearly flawed-much like your characterization of Chomsky.

  • @markse4444 So you have read it?

  • you can only know what the purpose of living is with knowledge. but just learning isn't living. so it's that kind of balance. but mainly learning. in 100 years time i think the question whats the point will become more clear. and as evolution becomes more accepted and we see just how intelligent apes are we'll start to see ourselves ina more gritty animalistic approach. like we're superintelligent but still just freaks of nature.

  • @maxgunn555 We won't be that intelligent in 2111 though, as the evolution is going backwards. People are getting dumber and dumber for every year that goes by.

  • @joakim2k10 i don't know if we are getting dumber. religion faith is going down. people are becoming more aware to politics e.t.c. certain bioligical diseases are being cured through their problems being exposed to millions through video games on internet.

  • and if you do those things you could still ask the same question.......

  • Smart people would ask that. Dumb asses wouldn't care.

  • @Horchild i am offended by your racism

  • @zwdog1122 White people are Racist Demons!

  • @zwdog1122 White people are racist Demons!!

  • There are so many jackasses arguing on youtube.

  • @Dtchmastrkilla7 this comment should be under every video and deserves a 1000 thumbs up.

  • @Dtchmastrkilla7 You mean like Noam Chomsky?

  • an epistemological confession if ever i saw one

  • I don't like the title, it's offensive to Chomsky who is certainly one of the most important thinkers of our century.

  • @mcfriant ***Chomsky who is certainly one of the most important thinkers of our century***

LOL. Maybe to impressionable idiots like yourself.

  • @byroninwahroonga "LOL. Maybe to impressionable idiots like yourself"

Do you begin every sentence with 'LOL'? After looking at your channel, so it seems yes.

And how dare you call someone who reads Chomsky an "impressionable idiot"? There are only two possibilities here, or you're not capable of reading his work, or you're a supporter of the jewish state. Whichone is it?

  • @censortube09 ***do you begin every sentence with 'LOL'? After looking at your channel, so it seems yes***

Yes, I do. I'm a happy, well adjusted social and political conservative.

  • @censortube09 Chomsky's work is children's dribble. It is unexciting, unsophisticated, and it shows little historical, philosophical, or literary interest like that Hitchens, Vidal, or Sontag. So yes, I can accept that most who considered him "one of the most important thinkers of our century" are impressionable idiots.

  • @witteal2 Oh yes, such dribble for a pseudo-intellectual such as yourself!

  • @CabLuigi I never claimed to be an intellectual, ok sweetheart? I just happen to observe written political discourse a little more than the next man. And apart from some of the observations on the media and the essays on East Timor and Chile, the rest of Chomsky's work is garbage.

  • @witteal2

Yeah, you really are looking like the biggest moron. To say his work is garbage? Anyone who spends time for a humanitarian cause is never garbage. The problem is not whether you agree with his work or not, the problem is you don't even respect his work. William Buckley, always disagreed with Chomsky, I'm with Chomsky's perspective, but I know Buckley's work isn't garbage.

You said you were not an intellectual. Maybe that's why. I'm an intellectual. Look up the definition.

  • @IslamIstheWayforMe Yes, since "Islam is the way for you," and that your god of all the gods ever invented is the right one, your mind must be a shining example of a robust, mature intellect. By the way, Buckley, a fascist sympathizer who unceasingly supported General Franco and unceasingly oppossed the Civil Rights Act of 1964...need I say more? Some work simply is below a standard of high culture and reason.

  • @witteal2 Also, I acknowledged that Chomsky did the Left and others a service by exposing our role in the East Timor genocide and our role in bringing Pinochet into power. Most of the rest is either too boring to mention or to batshit to consider. He got a lot wrong, especially late in his career. Not all thoughts deserve serious respect. Some are better than others and some are garbage.

  • @HorChild

Hm that's interesting because I am a white Muslim.

  • @IslamIstheWayforMe I'm white but not a Muslim.

    Read the article!

  • @IslamIstheWayforMe Get well soon

  • @HorChild what is this i don't even

  • @EconAtheist SEARCH...."The Anglo Saxon Mission Interview Transcript" - A London insider exposes white people's evil plans for Muslims and ASIANS! READ IT NOW!

White War 3 coming soon!! They will release Their VIRUSES and Create A FAMINE!

White people are Making war against THE Muslim SAINTS and against Humanity!!!! AS PROPHESIED!

The whole world knows that white people are THE BEASTS of prophecy!! They devour everything and the Spirit of God is NOT in them - thus they are BEASTS!

    READ IT!!

  • @HorChild LOLCOPYPASTASPAM

  • @witteal2 Oooooh political discourse! Get you! I'm not surprised that Chomsky's garbage is so below you! I agree, you are clearly a man who has achieved a lot in life through such critical analysis, using your skills of observation obviously!

  • @CabLuigi Ok, tell me, what about Chomsky's work is so profound? Why am I wrong to say that many of his fans have a cult-like fetish for him and his work? What makes him so much better than others who have made the same observations about the media, military-industrial complex, our imperial follies abroad, the Israel-Palestine conflict, or the downsides of globalization?

  • @witteal2 I agree, he has achieved very little! It is dribble! I bow down to you in all of your wisdom on this social media comment! I'm going to go now, and chuckle at Chomsky's trifling writings on linguistics! Tata...

  • @witteal2 Chomsky is infallible, apprently - didn't you ge the email!

  • @witteal2 "Chomsky's work is children's dribble"

Oh stop it, you're making everyone laugh. You just said it yourself, he's considered to be 'one of the most important thinkers of his time'. You might not agree with that, but the title is there..

  • @SinistralEbb On another note, using words like motherfucker really makes you tough and hard, and I am truly afraid of you now.

  • @SinistralEbb Seeing that English is my third language I think I have a good grasp of it. I have never lived in an English speaking country as well, and I am quite certain that you would have quite the trouble reading any of Chomsky's books that are not among his so-called "popular" books on politics.

  • LIBERTARIANMONARCHY . COM

  • @SinistralEbb Try reading one of his books on universal grammar, or his more philosophical books. Judging from your comments I reckon the little intelligence you have been bestowed would blow out your ass...

  • This statement makes absolutely no sense coming from an atheist.

  • hey chumpsky !

i live for beer.. kentucky fried chicken and porn.. not to write stuffy complicated books you have WASTED YOUR LIFE !

  • @matchbox555 Gratz man. I'm sure in your old age you will look back at your life with sincere pride.

  • This guy's a douchebag. He is a pseudo-intellectual. In his books and on video he constantly makes a fool of himself, and everybody goes 'Wow isn't that guy smart'? Give me a break. Complete douchebag. I don't respect him.

  • @cmilford1969 He is a University Professor , the most cited in Research papers of any person in any field in the world for over a decade. Then there is his massive contribution to public speaking on a host of topics. Your a 41 year old troll who looks for cheap attention on the internet by demeaning women , (your most recent post: "I bet the stewardess sucks a good cock".) and posting such moronic comments as the one above.

You must be really proud of your life and how you spend your time.

  • @cmilford1969 You seem to feel very passionate about people making fools of themselves.

  • @cmilford1969 I don't think anybody would give a damn about who you respect or what you think.

  • @cmilford1969 . lol you got owned by Donald277. "I bet the stewardess sucks a good cock" huh? As the title of the video suggests - Why did you bother living? Tool.

  • Let's see here, why did I bother living? Maybe because it's fun?

  • @mre2u2,

Yeah, isn't it fun to watch these guys discuss esoteric things, and to cheer them on they way people who AREN'T mentally I'll cheer for sports teams?!

    Wowee, so much fun!!!

  • Finally, chomsky asks a good question

  • Sick faggots, you sit around and micro-think about the structure of ordinary, everyday concepts well beyond any useful degree, only because of your mentally ill obsession with minutiae. Some sick college instructor accelerated your OCD-like illness, and you idiots have opened the throttle in your cognitive nosedive into insanity.

You mistakenly believe you're doing something laudable when you do this shit.

Nobody but you members of the mentally ill community give a damn about this idiot.

  • @gj7l1O0ij49gq1l00O0l Damn, I Wish I could Explain This Noam-Skull As Well As You. EXCELLENT, I Am So So Impressed. RIGHT ON...

  • @azez37

    You got him!

  • Please search David Duke for truth

  • @MrBloograss duuuuuuurrrrrrrrr

  • haters... Why do you bother living? After all, you are commenting on what Chomsky says. So he's playing you dumbos. Is your life so bad that you have to come and comment on what a person who you hate says? And those comments aren't even coherent. My sympathies.

  • Chomsky: the only man who can write a 200 page book on terrorism without once mentioning Islam !

  • @vonkleve Probably because he knows how the islamic terrorism began in the first place and focused his attention on that. If someone placed a bomb in my letter box i'd ask myself if i done anything that pissed someone off. If someone threw a grenade into my house i would be sure to have done something wrong.

Terrorism used to be far off and nobody cared what caused it because it didn't happen on their own soil. Ever since 9/11, nothing else is talked about. Well Chomsky has for what 30 years ?

  • I want to kill all dogs.

    Thank you.

    .

  • To argue on YouTube

  • Ironic, his life has been anything but constructive. Why did he bother living?

  • The full video is available here:

  • @adamburton001 thanks.. i guess i will just shed some light of the context of this clip for others.. the video is 60 mins long... this clip appears at around 55 min mark in the video.. chomsky was asked "how do you balance a social conscience and a desire to be politically active with typical adult goals of family and career?" chomsky's answer was that you have opportunities to get involved in activism at any point in your life.. these are the "opportunities" he refers to in this clip.

  • uploader, do you have more of this interview to share with us?

  • you should set your page to the wisdom of warLock21x

Men stay locked in shallow waters of assessment because their fear supersedes their potential.

Only in fanaticism one finds their true self.

Courage is going through fear over and over and over again.

  • Why did I bother being so productive when the chomsky-inspired proletariat rose up and took all my property?

  • @poonhounds2 Yes, those raving proletarians that are driving the US to the ground! May God and his elected bankers, industrialists, media commentators and other speculators save us from the masses of the unwashed! Are you an idiot?

  • In fact what Adam Smith was talking about was simply that government should help ensure the people are educated - public schools. He didn't say that division of labor was bad or that government should prevent it in the kind of ways that we today might imagine - planning, vast public hiring, etc. He only wanted public schools. The only thing that chapter was suggesting was public schools. Look it up, its chapter 20 and its all online at Econlib.

  • "Everybody reads the first paragraph of The Wealth of Nations where he talks about how wonderful the division of labor is. But not many people get to the point hundreds of pages later, where he says that division of labor will destroy human beings and turn people into creatures as stupid and ignorant as it is possible for a human being to be. And therefore in any civilized society the government is going to have to take some measures to prevent division of labor from proceeding to its limits."

  • WHat??!! Did Chomsky really say that Adam Smith was AGAINST the division of labor??!! ... He must have Adam Smith and Karl Marx mixed up. Adam Smith most famously described the incredible importance of the division of labor with his example of the pin factory, and he called it a civilizing force, because it allowed people to move from an economy of subsistence to an economy of exchange, which then allows for growth and innovation, enough prosperity for art, schools, medicine, and so forth.

  • @gliberty42

Smith criticized labor division while also describing its advantages. He pointed out that forcing individuals to perform mundane and repetitious tasks would lead to an ignorant, dissatisfied work force. For this reason he advanced the revolutionary belief that governments had an obligation to provide education to workers. This sprung from the hope that education could combat the deleterious effects of factory life.

  • @galtyyy Yes, he did say that it could be bad IF TAKEN TO AN EXTREME, and that gov. should provide education. That's a far cry from being against division of labor! He spent a good 1/3 of WoN on the critical importance of division of labor for society and civilization; from one person baking another brewing (and exchanging), to the advantages of dividing up labor inside a pin factory; he did add that if taken to extremes it could be robotic, but Chomsky's descrip. sounded like Marx not Smith.

  • @gliberty42

I don't see what you are getting at. If someone is performing a mundane repetitious task all day, then it seems that Smith didn't like it. If he specified a specific limit on how mundane is too mundane, I would appreciate the citation. The most I wanted to say in my point, is that it is notable that he had reservations about divisions of labor that led to an ignorant dissatisfied workforce.

  • @galtyyy Well, he favored the pin factory, which would include a lot of "mundane" tasks. He praised division of labor. He was not against it as Chomsky clearly stated. From the start of Book 1 of Wealth of Nations: "The greatest improvement in the productive powers of labour, and the greater part of the skill, dexterity, and judgment with which it is any where directed, or applied, seem to have been the effects of the division of labour."

  • @gliberty42

So according to you, Chomsky thinks Adam Smith is against the division of labor, which he 'clearly stated.' I challenge you to find a quote where he says Adam Smith is against it. I suspect you will only find him saying that Smith 'warned against the division of labor,' which is in keeping with the book itself. That warning was that division of labor, if taken to an extreme, would lead to an ignorant, dissatisfied work force. So please show me where it is 'clearly stated.'

  • indeed

  • respect the noamsky!!1

  • i can read english and understand them but i cant undersatnd someone who speaks. can someone write what he says?

  • @savvasable "So if you decide not to make use of the opportunities that you have, not to try to live your life in a way which is constructive and helpful, you end up looking back and say 'why did I bother living?'"

  • @mgraves82 thanks

  • go Chomsky. true hero

  • I seriously have a crush on Chomsky! HE IS MY HERO :)... love you Dr. Chomsky!

  • what do you think you have contributed to life ??? Noam....?????

  • If you live your life, being constructive ONLY for someone else, you realize ..gee, I have never lived! 2 lives, me and a friend, my friend played in a band for 30 years living the life of fun, now he is going to school to become a respiratory therapist, Me @ 14, worked, summer and part time, then became a respiratory therapist, worked 30 years in the field , taught , flew on a life flight team, supervised .now it is time for ME to live and for everyone else to butt the hell out. Good on both!

  • To enjoy the ride.

  • booooom!!!! better get on with my coursework

  • Yes, I have wondered why this dipshit bothered living. Chomsky is a fucking idiot Commie piece of shit.

  • @jwhat01 Yes the Professor wasted his life. This the opinion of a person with a You Tube account following the discredited "how the world works" page. Yes indeed its Chomsky who has wasted his life. Keep up the good work.

I loved to know what your impression and understanding of the word commie is......one could easily say its merely a stick to beat anyone of an opposing view with - without understanding that view or indeed the stick with which you label someone in the first place.

  • @Donal277

No I know what a Commie is. I understand it completely. Probably better than you. Noam is one. Being a Commie makes him a terrible human being. Is that Leftis POS dead yet? I remember the good ol days when we went to war to kill Commies. Commies hate freedom and hate the individual and hate religion, except the worship of the dictator. Most of all they hate that people get to choose. Got it. Fuck all Commies.

  • @jwhat01 Please seriously go read. Your understanding of a "commie" as you put it could not be more from reality.

Yes the good old days? - you mean when "commies" ran countries and it was a method to govern in eastern europe. Most have been real fun for all the millions who died. You say it like its a game

And do tell who exactly is this dictator chomsky loves? Seriously name him/her.

Yes i get it your just having some trolling fun on the internet. Well done. Leave the thinking to the adults

  • @Donal277

No, Im firmly grounded in reality. Commies have been horrible, & have slaughtered 100 million people just in the past century. Did ya miss that?? Commies have killed more people in the past 100 years than all of human history combined. That style of governing has quite a track record for you guys & Chomsky to celebrate. Socialism always leads to Communism, and is in fact the POINT of socialism. It is evil and goes against human nature. Go suck an egg. I hope all Commies die.

  • @jwhat01 Where to begin.

1, No Socialism does not lead to Communsion. Given you live in America you probably shouldnt talk on the matter when you cant even comprend the ideal . Currently im living in Sweden. Easily the most socilist based country i have lived in. Its pretty amazing and different here. Public transport is state of the art and cheap, education for all levels is free, and medical care is the same price as a glass of milk. Moreover the economy is flying and no class divide. Read.

  • @Donal277

LMAO! If you dont think socialism leads to Communism, just read Lenin. He will set you straight. Its the point. Sweden, which used to invent all kinds of things, hasnt come up with SHIT after you turned socialist. Lazy ass moochers, sucking off the innovation of the free world. The only reason you people can have your pitiful 1% GDP is because the USA's largest economy in the world is cranking at 3%! Your socialism eats the crumbs of actual producers in the free world. For now.

  • @jwhat01 This is chomsky talking about a simple concept of how to lead ones lives. Nothing to do with his polictical ideals - which i dont even agree with on the whole. I agree with nobody on the whole thats the point your missing.

You can dissagree with him on alot of thingsy doesnt mean you dismiss him on everything. You even understand the message he is stating, you realise it has nothing to do with what your talking about.

And no wrong again regarding history of deaths by "commies"

  • @Donal277

Chomsky isnt saying very much here at all. He has spouted Commie bullshit and pompous elitism his whole life, though. Correct about the lives Commies have taken. I was purposely underestimating. I count the number of people killed by Communism at about 130 million, while many experts say its over 200 million. Bout time for Chomsky to check out. His masters are pretty much done with that "useful idiot." He wasnt very effective. Time to be thrown away.

  • @jwhat01 I think my time talking to you is done. Since you just want to troll and define EVERYTHING and EVERYONE as a commie who is not on your side it shows your limited view of the world, ignorance and how Fox news can prosper with such morons around

Go on please call me a commie now. Your sir are an idiot. Good day.

  • @jwhat01 You must be proud of your insight and wit.

  • @Pomme843

Awww shucks. Thank you very much for the compliment. Always nice to hear from a fan.

  • @jwhat01 you are clearly someone we should all listen to, but instead of words falling on dead ears i wish they were muttered from dead lips connected to a dead body, die and go to hell now

  • @audiofunkdialect

Spoken like a true murderous thug Commie POS. You reveal yourself.

  • @jwhat01 you don't even know what communism is, and what do you think is going to be left for our children on this earth due to capitalism?

  • @jwhat01: You, sir, are an idiot.

  • @chinopisces

Not near as much of an idiot as Noam Chomsky is. What a pompous ass! LOL. He is a joke.

  • Socrates 480BC..nothing the Greek philosophers didn't first cover

  • @Leoni1 ;)

  • @Leoni1 they are just the ones you think covered it first. it is likely there are earlier versions.

  • A wasted life is an enjoyable life.

  • This sent a shiver down my spine! :-(

Don't we all wish we could be more helpful to others? Yet, we live in this great age of distrust and egoism. Jesus, I don't even trust my divorced parents. :-(

  • @WeToldYouSo1 Your parents are your parents simply by chance - there's no particular reason to trust them. I say, trust in Chomsky!

  • @Pomme843 Hehe, very funny. :-)

  • Interesting.
