I have been doing that for awhile now. I use a mixture of toulene, methanol, and ATF, but toulene accounts for like 80-90 percent of it. You can pick it up toulene in large quantities at a paint supply store. You use a small amount of ATF, maybe 4 oz per gallon, to lubricate your seals as rubber hates octane booster. That is pretty much it...it doesn't have to be exact, just make sure not to use more than a 30% mixture with gasoline or you will hurt your engine.
