I love them, they're so unpretentious, mature, developed & u can relate to their lyrics and mood, unlike amy lee (I can't stand that childish fat pretentious spoilt brat) and nightwish & within temptation are also very pretentious - but the sombre mood of Lacuna Coil & their lyrics ppl can relate to. You feel your mortality with their beautiful, honest music. And Cristina is the best dressed in metal too. Tairrie B is also amazing. Epica & The Sins of Thy Beloved have amazing vocalists too.

Evanescence's first album (Origin) was incredibly good. Personally I don't like their 2 next albums, but Origin sounds very Lacuna Coil-esque, an amazing and really good album.

You're right. I like Lacuna better, but Evanescence is not bad either.

I was referring more to the fact that, by the time Evanescence released their first album, Lacuna Coil already had 3. Don't get me wrong, I love Evanescence, but Lacuna Coil has been well established in their own right for a long time and I don't like to hear them called copycats because it's simply untrue.

@karasutheraven LC formed in 94, Ev 95. Both first EP was in 98. They were out at the same time, they released at the same time. LC was not "established" before Ev, especially since Ev had already played a concert and was on the radio before either of them released official EPs, while LC was still putting the band together. Not taking away from either band but neither copied each other since they were out at the same time, in different parts of the worlds, getting their names out.
