Ali Olli Woodson was a Ikon, we can compare the different singers and styles that did lead vocals for the temptations but Ali Woodson is my favorite without a doubt. His range was uncanny he would weave that voice althrough any song he sang and you never knew was coming next. I think Marvin Sease put it all altogether with his song "gone on" If you have the opportunity check it out. Ali my brother respect, I bow my head with humbleness because you are the man !!! R.I.P.

I had the pleasure of seeing the Temptations in concert in the summer of 2010, and Otis told the audience that another Temptations had (Ali) passed away. It was sweet seeing the Temptations live, seeing them perform with that unique style and flare, but bitter to learn of Ali Ollie Woodson passing.

Quite simply, Mr. Ali-Ollie Woodson was a phenominal talent, my personal all-time favorite lead vocalist of the Temptations. I'm sitting here in front of my computer at 3am on the morning of 6/01/10.....just learning of the passing of Mr.Woodson the previous day. I've always thought that Ali's vocal style was somewhat of a cross between David Ruffin & Dennis Edwards.....He was a combination of the best traits of both of those singers. No one "took us to church" quite like Ali!

It saddens my heart to think that a person could say such a heartless thing at this time! If most people had half of the faith that Uncle Ollie had this world would be a better place. This is such a great performance but the audio is bad and it hangs up about a third of the way through so that when it finally starts again, the synchronization of sound to video is way off. Is there a better copy available?

Ali Woodson rocked South Africa this year with Dennis Edwards' Temptations - 2009along with the Manhattans in JHB. The mans voice is still like in the 80's.
