  • Dude guys on ebay you can buy these for 20 dollars!

  • @pimpofdoom What u said made absolutely no sense at all

  • The SOG is styled after the ARMY issue tomahawk carried by soldies in Viet Nam...these are designed as bludgening weapons...the spike is not supposed to be "sharp"...it's made to crack skulls.

  • Thanks for the video

  • um

theres no such thing as a "tactical" tomahawk lol

    fucking cod idiots

  • @pimpofdoom sure there is the indians used them lol

  • @jmgreen1968 not as a primary or tactical weapon

and there is absolutely no way you can use a tomahawk in a covert or life sustaining situation unless you had no intention of throwing it then you could use it in a life sustaining situation

  • @pimpofdoom whatever dud. do you know what lol means and the indians did use them as a primary weapon and they didnt throw them they bashed their enemies in the head with them because the first ones were made of wood with rocks tied to them but to me they looked more like a mace than an axe tomahawk stands for rock or something like that any way and you could use them for covert actions that spike can be used like a knife if it were to be designed better have a nice day

  • gotta get me one, getting ready for zombie apocalypse. although, i think a katana would be a better weapon to have

  • @juki0h If you can use it, you don't just grab and swing. Many lessons are in order just to know how to hold and strike with it properly. Metal Baseball bat is still the best weapon overall unless you have specialist training, proper gear and practice regularly. Do yourself a favour and pick one up.

  • ©HerbWalker 19 Delta?

  • I think you did good on this video.I am trying to decide which Tomahawk I want to buy and this has helped me decide, thank you

  • sounds dumb but i wanna buy one but whats the uses of it?

  • @noutube look up why I dont give a shit about what someone else thinks I need. Stick to the issue at hand and stop trying to be a smartass.

  • @marinecorpsniper we dont NEED anything but food, water, and shelter. Everything else is shit that we WANT.

  • @cj89311 look up maslow's hierarchy of needs. retard

  • @cj89311 We NEED to live and be left alone........the rest just falls into place! Scouts OUT!!!

  • @marinecorpsniper Last I checked I'm an American free to spend my money on whatever I want (within the law).

  • @joeh177 with a name like marinecorpssniper he is obviously some kid who acts like he is a marine. i watched this video because my last deployment i was in situations where i needed one. this next one ill be sure to take one,.

  • Comment removed

  • @marinecorpsniper don't think a tomahawk is a pretty useful weapon for a marine either. they have guns and aircrafts these days.

    let the boys have fun

  • @marinecorpsniper We NEED this to stop anyone that would rob us or harm us. This is a great weapon that does not malfuction, jam,run out of ammo and is very quiet for up & close social work at O dark 30! Scouts Out/RECON

  • @marinecorpsniper I use mine for camping. i have the SOG and its easier and more practical to carry around. we also throw them for fun and a hawk does fly better than a camping axe. It actually has more uses as an outdoors tool than a fighting weapon.

  • @marinecorpsniper -zombie defence, wandering orcs and for slicing pizza when you cant find the pizza cutter

  • @marinecorpsniper No Marine sniper that I know of (yes I know some) would ever ask a question like that. Nor would they have a username "Marinecorpsniper." They don't need to announce themselves to feel special. They have a great respect for the civilian populace and respect gun and knife owners like this, the most. You're a terd. Playing COD doesn't make you a marinecorpsniper. I bet you'll tell me, "I'm GOING to enlist in the marines and be a sniper soon."

  • @jsturm4 no im not a Marine and at one point i planned on joining but then i decided not to because of a bunch of extra work i would have to do to get my american residence visa and green card I am Canadian, and no I dont play COD i hate the game and the series

  • @marinecorpsniper Need I say more?

  • @marinecorpsniper - You are an embarrassment to all Canadians.

  • @marinecorpsniper douchebag

  • @marinecorpsniper why wouldnt civilians need a tomahawk? i live in maine and i use mine everyday

  • @gurugrower420 i know right and why would the prick call us civilians

  • @marinecorpsniper uhhh to throw?

  • @marinecorpsniper to protect them from the government including the sheep in the us armed forces

  • Don't let them give you too much shit. Thanks for the vid.

  • The M48 looks nicest!

SOG reeeally ugly, no esthetics at all!

  • @MrJohnDevour i agree. it looks like a traditional real indian tomahawk but with plastic. i love the curved beard and the sharp pike in the back

  • Tossing up between the SOG and the Cold steel, what's the recommended price? And how are they for throwing? (can't imagine I would throw it, but you never know)

  • loved the video, but you can sharpen that M48 up, i have an accusharpener that would make butter knives razor sharp

  • United has the best design in my opinion

  • Thnx for the info!

  • The cold steel hawk isn't "much bigger" it's not even aligned horizontally with the other two.

  • Cheers for the video, but next time try expand the vocabulary bro.."sharp" "very sharp" and liven the voice up! Have you used these to cut anything? As theres not a chip on them.

  • @Laoch86 I made this video after right after I got home from a 12hr night shift. I was tired and this is the video that resulted. I am not going to make anymore "review" videos, there are people on youtube way better at it than me.

  • Ive had the sog fusion hawk for a few weeks and the blade is already chipped badly. Do u have any tips for sharpening or fixing the blade?

  • LOL at this stupid video. The cold steel is vastly superior.

  • @DrWmPierceAudio You can LOL on my nuts.

  • @joeh177 DrWmPierceAudio got PWNED!

  • @DrWmPierceAudio

    You have nuts?

  • @DrWmPierceAudio lmfao your a moron thats a piece of shit. you must be joking

  • zzzzzzzz

  • My friend has the SOG it's awsome

  • the Sog is by far the best. i have one and it is amazinggggg

  • This is sharp, this isn't. long pause. zzzzzz.

  • that m48 is a bjoot, u shud add the condor hawk to this, also cheap but full steel construction = unbreakable, which is what u want in tac hawk

  • Thank you for the great comparison video... This really helped me make an educated decision on what to purchase. Thanks!

  • The SOG is made of 420HC and the United Cutlery is made of AUS6

  • Spend the money and get a real tomahawk from RMJ Tactical, the S13 Shrike or Kestrel. Otherwise just get a cheap ass hatchet from wally word.

  • are any of these good edc's? i live in compton ca :P

  • @MegaAwesomedude2000 thats fuckin funny haha

  • I think the other 2 are 440

  • thanks for the video im still having a hard time deciding on what one to get but thnks for the vid helped a little bit

  • the back points don't need to be sharp - the angles of the point are enough to puncture and besides, that part is pointed towards you!

  • is the m48 a good one or ok?

  • Don't understand the 6 dislikes on this video. This is a good comparison video of these three models of tomahawks.

  • I have 2/3 of these hawks. All of them are around the same price give/take.The SOG has its Vietnam Tactical look, and it performs well as a camp tool and as a thrower.I have tested it.It's also"Gunny Approved" and I trust Gunny. Just actually used CS Trench Hawk to help in digging trench to fix broken underground pipe. Its spike performed well in the rocky soil.I could get both hands on the grip and it made it easier from position I was in.The edge is sharp on both t-hawks.I want the M48 for design

  • Great vid, needed to know that, especially on a budget!

  • m48 looks alot meaner than the sog one

  • So have you gotten your S&W tomahawk yet? I tell you, this thing makes other similarly priced tomahawks look like a child's toy. My Trench hawk is no match for this S&W tomahawk. Get 1 soon, you won't be disappointed.

  • Which hawk do you like better, the SOG or the M48? Just over all which is the more reliable hawk? thanks!

  • i dont really like the look of the SOG.

  • @yabrotly yeah me too after looking at the m48 or whatever its called the sog and the cold steel look retarded

  • i think the m48 is made out of 7cr17 steel.

  • Hi, I'm stuck between buying either the M48 or the SOG tomahawk. I like the look of the M48 better, but I don't know if the SOG might have a better build quality. Do you know which one would be a better buy as far as quality, price, etc.?

  • @lorderik237 They are both built very similar, except the SOG has the steel collar on it. Pretty much same size and weight for both. I'd say they are cheap enough to get both.

  • @joeh177 how much is the m48 and the sog

  • @lorderik237 the m48 is proably the best kid trust me on this one i just finished ordering one today....buy it

  • @MegaAwesomedude2000 so mute it or watch another video.

  • wow I got a little pissed when he said it was made in china

  • @TheJasonDR its budget priced... soo -.-

  • @Searyu yeah but what bothered me was the high quality .... meaning those workers in china must have been skilled .... thus what is the use for american skilled labor

  • @TheJasonDR Does not matter where it is made unless it is made well, America, China, Japan, Germany ect as long as there are standards and quality control should not matter where your gear comes from as long as it is made to spec.

  • @kuribo1 true ....

  • I have the Trench Hawk and now I have the S&W tomahawk. I must say that the Smith & Wesson tomahawk is definitely my favorite. The 1070 carbon steel and the fact that it is full tang, blows the Trench Hawk out of the water. You should get it. It is really BAD ASS

  • @knifeman135 Yes, I will be getting that one also. Heard a lot of good things about it.

  • @knifeman135

The Sw tom is shitty as hell. no reason to make a tomahawk "full tang". Stupid weight. That one's for big fat pussies and stupid cunt morons. The Cold steel is better, and you can choke up and use it to punch someone in the face.

  • @DrWmPierceAudio Obviously the only thing you know is how to be ignorant. A full tang is as useful on a tomahawk as it is on a knife. But I guess you are the kind of person that thinks that a true survival knife is the shitty type that comes with matches and a compass inserted in the handle. Don't forget the fish hooks.

  • @knifeman135 Wrong, it's not useful. The purpose of an axe is to have a heavy head, with a relatively light handle, to maximize speed and power of the swing, i.e. less rotational inertia. Wood or polypropylene are more than strong enough for the task, and anything heavier is stupid and defeats the purpose. I know quite a bit about knives, check out my other channel, tallswede80 for proof.

  • @DrWmPierceAudio Ok, this is not a tomahawk. It's an extraction tool. If I had to choose between the S&W or my Trench Hawk to breach a door, I would choose the S&W. I agree with you about a tomahawk being light. The S&W is a tool. I would rather have it over the Trench hawk if I were to need to breach anything. That's all.

  • 1055 carbon steel is close to the steel used in leaf springs...very good material for making blades. In fact I had a machete made out of one and it outperformed an axe in felling down a tree. In light of this I will choose the CS trenchhawk.

  • I just got 2 M48s and they are Amazing! Very well built and have had no problems!

Also its a bonus when you throw it hard and it whistles through the air and makes a very nice WHACK on the target

  • you dont need sharp edges on a tomahawk. its design doesnt call for any

  • I just got an M48 Hawk yesterday! I love it!!

  • nice video ...just bought the united m48 and it is bad ass ...I put a nice grip on it and it feels really comfortable in my hand now.

  • saw a video where the SOG stee chips out alot....the United is probably the same brittle steel.....Go with the CS if you are considering.

  • Thanks for posting this, I've been curious about the M48, I already have the other two. Does the M48 seem as well built as the SOG? I really like the beard and spike lines on the M48......time to break out the credit card...

  • @123karismith The M48 seems to be built very similar to SOG. The M48 would be a lot better if you can sharpen the false edges on it.

  • Thanks for the video. Which one of them would you say is the best? Does the United one feel as solid as the other two? It sure looks nice, I know its made out of AUS-6 steel and the SOG is made out of 420.

  • @wolfenburger I like the United and the Cold Steel tomahawks the best. If you would sharpen the false edges on them they would be fantastic in my opinion. You won't go wrong with them especially for the price

  • @joeh177 Just bought the Trench Hawk and the United Hawk. The SOG Fast Hawk is also on its way.

  • @wolfenburger Let me know what your opinion of them is when you get them.

  • @joeh177 Will do. The UC Hawk is getting good customer reviews at budkdotcom.

  • @joeh177 They have all arrived now and I must say that the united M48 is not only one good looking hawk, but it also looks like it can take a beating. Well balanced, nice grip and it came pretty sharp out of the box. I will for sure sharpen it up over all. The Trench Hawk is also nice, better quality steel, but the way it is connected to the handle makes me wonder if it can take that much abuse before the two parts seperates. As soon as the snow melts a bit, I will give them all a round of abuse

  • @joeh177 I like the United M48 so much that Im going to order one more. Also have the American VTAC Tomahawk Lagana on its way. It will be interesting to see if this 100 dollar hawk is worth over twice the price as these budget hawks. The United Black Ronin Tomahawk (Full tang) arrived the other day as well. Now this is a lot of hawk for the money. With a few adjustments on the cord grip and some edge sharpening, this piece really has potential.
