My I mention the 1993 bombing that took place below the towers! The base was able to with stand the blunt force of the explosion because of well planned architectual design! though the explosion wasn't great enough to bring the towers down until 2001!

For me, it reminds me about the Washington Monument. One positive thing about the new WTC is the power-consumption. Up to 20 percent can be spared by the lights.

Just as the same as the Freedom Tower (One World Trade Center). The core in the One WTC is made of five times stronger cement than the old WTC, so it is going to be much stronger. But it's gonna be a okay complex. It's not so beautiful to look on it from the Brooklyn Bridge, but from Hudson River it's fancy!

I don't like Freedom Tower either. With Towers II, it shows that America has healed and just has a scar. But with Freedom Tower is shows that America has amputated part of itself and replaced it with something else. I lived in NYC as a young child and the only way to heal the wound caused by 9/11 for me is to rebuild the towers. The new towers with a few design changes will not collapse if a plane crashes.
And Iraq did not do 9/11. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.

You'll Be surprised How many people liked the twin towers before they were taken down! Not many but some loved it, when the sun shines on them reflecting from the sun in the morning! @mrman123105 Cause back then construction plans weren't much advanced as they were today! They did every thing they could to keep the building much safer! My I mention the 1993 bombing that took place below the towers! The base was able to with stand the blunt force of the explosion because of well planned architectual design! though the explosion wasn't great enough to bring the towers down until 2001!

For me, it reminds me about the Washington Monument. One positive thing about the new WTC is the power-consumption. Up to 20 percent can be spared by the lights.

@puppetmaster195 Almost agree, but when the old World Trade Center was built in the seventies, they were not liked by many New Yorkers. They were too tall and too big for the small skyline. Just as the same as the Freedom Tower (One World Trade Center). The core in the One WTC is made of five times stronger cement than the old WTC, so it is going to be much stronger. But it's gonna be a okay complex. It's not so beautiful to look on it from the Brooklyn Bridge, but from Hudson River it's fancy!

I don't like Freedom Tower either. With Towers II, it shows that America has healed and just has a scar. But with Freedom Tower is shows that America has amputated part of itself and replaced it with something else. It's like having a limb that could have healed but got amputated and replaced by and artifical part. If you get my drift.
But what I do know is, we need a WTC again, reguardless of the ugly design they've chosen, we need a WTC again.

2 things to mention...
It would be worse to slot two new towers into the foundations of the old towers...its a grave lets not forget, and a memorial is being set up, which deserves tonnes of gratitude.
secondly, there isnt the room to build two new towers around the memorial unless some buildings are pulled down.

My opinion: I've watched the attacks on TV in Germany... It was very sad, because I was in the USA until 7-5-2001. If you took the Maintower of the skyline of Frankfurt, nobody would recognize Frankfurt. Berlin is not Berlin without the Brandenburg gate. Paris not without the Eifel Tower. New York is not New York without the WTC twin towers. Not with only one memory tower. Nobody can fix this wound with an alternation. These towers are missing.

I lived in NYC as a young child and the only way to heal the wound caused by 9/11 for me is to rebuild the towers. The new towers with a few design changes will not collapse if a plane crashes.
And Iraq did not do 9/11. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.
