It seems the bible makes nothing clear as everything is open to interpretation and everyone has their own thoughts on it. You are one of the very few people who would willingly learn of the bibles original form; most people would just take it directly and exactly for what it says. They see "fools" and they think "idiots". The bible no longer means its original message. The addition of the words "there" and "is" have further skewed the passage against the Atheist population. My point being that both parties are at fault here.

It doesn't matter whether one calls himself an atheist or agnostic the result is the same.
God doesn't give us "proof" because he wants faith, not people who are forced to believe.
Use this same word analysis throughout the study of the bible and you will be surprised what is really says.
People don't want to know what it really says. It's more fun for them to inflame emotions with the word "fool" than to give useful information.

As an agnostic, i perfectly understand what you are saying about requiring faith to be an atheist. But to make the claim that you need the SAME amount of faith that a christian does to believe the bible is absolutely ludicrous. To believe all aspects of its mythology etc. And that goes for all major religions and to all superstititious people.
So the leap of faith is much smaller in the atheists case

I think, however, you are fallacious in comparing Carl Sagan's search for extraterrestrial life with having faith in a divine mover. You must understand that Carl, as a Physicist, was very acutely aware of the mathematical and scientific theories which govern the universe. He simply found it too improbable that we are the only intelligent beings in the universe, and filled a scientific research need.

Simply put, the outcome of this, though highly debated, was that incapable people lack the insight needed to see they are in fact incapable, and thus they grossly overestimate their own performance. Very capable people have a tendency to underestimate themselves (to some lesser degree) as in that they expect others to perform like they do themselves.

8:30 - 8:45 The premise of the video does not fall apart, because just as Zach misinterpreted the meaning of the word 'nable' (sp?), so have the majority of Christians who have taken this translation as literal just as they took the mistranslation of "young mary" to "virgin mary" as part of the myth.
9:00 - 9:30 The next phrase of the verse you mention does not change the subject from the previous verse. It is STILL talking about the irreverent ones without God in their heart.

Your point about the mistranslation is hardly pertinent. First of all, the vast majority of Christians read the bible in a language other than that in which it was originally written. Second, morally deficient is also pretty insulting. Then, of course, after that quote Psalms states that they are also corrupt, have done abominable works, and that none do good. It seems the bible makes nothing clear as everything is open to interpretation and everyone has their own thoughts on it. The bible is a jumble book of nonsense with it mostly being filled withviolence and acts of cruelty, sprinkled occasionally with something good said.

While I understand what you are saying, you are missing a bit of a glaring point. You are one of the very few people who would willingly learn of the bibles original form; most people would just take it directly and exactly for what it says. They see "fools" and they think "idiots". The bible no longer means its original message. The addition of the words "there" and "is" have further skewed the passage against the Atheist population. My point being that both parties are at fault here.
