okay, so im thinking of buying a bass and i dont know if i should get a bronco bass, j bass, or p bass. i play punk rock like Bad Religion, NoFX, Anti-Flag etc. Can someone tell me which one i should get? and do they have the same size necks?
i have small hands for someone 6 feet tall, so i bought a MUSTANG,,, what a cool fuckin bass... ReAL nice jap bass, not a squier,,,,, it played and sounded GREAT...... sold it like a jackass when i realized that i liked my old mans Butterscotch USA jazz,,,,, want another baby bass just to fuck with,,,
i got that exact same bass its great for beginners the strings arent to heavy the frets arent to wide and its shortscaled so yea its perfect for beginners
Don't make fun of it's size I was scared shitless because I thought I'd be too short to play bass and this was the first one I ever picked up and it was perfect
this one is good for the money, but not great. if you have the money you should get the standard series squier p-bass. it is worth the extra 100USD. that is unless you have decided that you want short scale.
I bought the Squier Bronco Bass after bidding on a few Fender Musicmaster Bass guitars (can't believe what people are paying for that bass, it's the same as a Bronco Bass, but with a Fender logo). The store even knocked of $30 because I found a minute scratch on the backside. I paid $119 for this short scale bass to practice on while I kick back in my living room chair. I got my money's worth. It sounds like a bass regardless what others say (I also own both a Fender P and a J bass guitars).
Is the Squire Bronco Bass a reissue of the old Fender Musicmaster Bass? If you had to choose one, which would be the best buy for a short scale bass just to practice on (Squire Bronco, Gretsch Junior Jet, Epiphone EB0, or ???). Thanks.
its like that because its ment to be a bass that guitarist can pick up and play cause every once in a while you get board playing the same old thing

@AlmostaFlipinSkater For punk rock, I'd go with the P bass. It has the tone you will probably be looking for.

that is still my primary bass. so easy to play. tone is very far away from a p or jazz bass though, so don't go trying to replicate that.

All basses have a thing called a tone control, IMO it's the only "effect" I need. A tone control is adjustable in case you never noticed.
