I should have asked, is there a difference in the SLAP sound from 34" to 35"? I'm looking for the best aggressive slap sound possible. I hear that on a 35" the strings are tighter, but possibly a better slap sound. Also, I couldn't find the video about shipping costs to the US. I need to price the whole thing out. Thanks again.
This bass sounds killer. Which of your 5 string basses would get the same slap tone in terms of wood for the neck, body, and what scale? I've always played 34"; will 35" feel strange, or make the slap sound better.
Hi Nixxsta, Galeazzo Frudua here. The GFJ is like a super jazz with the option of the double coil at bridge (humbucker) for a hotter tone. The woods, pickups and eq are tuned to perform the various different sounds that oyu hear in the videos. get to the site fruduadirectdeal >>>dot>>> com and check the various details so you understand (and taste ;) better the concept behind. Write if any. GF
I've been playing guitar for 22 years... On and off I play bass... I'm OK at slap but need more practice.. How do you get that tone? I have a cheap Fender Squire and a small Laney bass amp which I'd imagine aint gunna cut it. I guess my question is, what gear should you use? An active bass? A large amp??
@michaeljjeffrey The tone you hear in this video is achieved using the Frudua GFJ bass in active mode, bass and treble tones flat, both single coil pickups full up and the Frudua B600 amp completely flat with the "groove" control at 9 o'clock and the Frudua Stage 410RFX cab at 4ohms with the tweeter horn in the first postition.
@michaeljjeffrey Well you need this bass and this amp... Jocking ;) Indeed the tone you hear is the result of the pickups type and quality, the pickups placement on the bass scale, the on board eq quality and how the Frudua amp reproduces the wide frequency range of this type of tone. It's pretty difficult to give you general suggestions on how to achieve this tone with other devices, sincerely.
@davemarks cool! I hope your well! I always get comments on the guitar idol videos about "hey that bass dude looks like Wolverine!" Nice bit of bass playing!
I don't see any comments on how great a player you are. The gear sounds awesome but your sense of time and feel make the bass sound like that.
Cheers

@paupur Hi, both the 4 strings and 5 strings sport the same woods, pickups and eq so you can get the same slap sound. This one is a 34" scale.
