lol, this question is self explanatory. Of course you cant raise tax barriers and expect a more cooperative world trade system.

What obama wants to do is not raise tax barriers, but to provide domestic AND foreign companies that keeps jobs in America the tax Breaks that the current administration is giving away to Oil Companies.

This does not raise trade barriers because both domestic and foreign companies have an equal chance to compete for this tax break endorsement.

He will be investing in Green Energy and raising Fuel Emission standards and will help create 5 Million Jobs. When that is done, it'll put America as a leader in Green Technology Research and will boost trade, manyfacturing, jobs and eradicate low paying jobs and increase salaries.

"Standard of living" is not just the cash flow of a nation's investors and businessmen. I think Obama wants Fair trade, not free trade.

Are environmental and human rights protections as important as cheap electronics and plastic lawn furniture and low low prices? Is "standard of living" about consumerism, or productivity and health?
