  • More cities should celebrate and honor local talent this way. Go to the head of the class, Pittsburgh. Cynics fan from NJ.

  • this is a terrific song

  • Magnificent! I saw the Cynics last night at the 31st Street Pub. They were incredible.

  • I was invited by the band and Mudhoney to photograph them live in Boston tonight. They were AMAZING!! Mike rocked the house!!

  • Wow! i was there to see this live! i'm old, the buildings a parking lot. Nobody expected them to do an accoustic thing, and i could still remember the comments around me. what a boomin' time for Pittsburgh Music!

  • when a band writes so many beautiful songs as they do, gigs should be endless...

  • this song is perfect!!

  • i loved the cynics ever since i was a young kid. 60's garage rock will never die!

  • I'm 14 from Texas. This is my favorite band.

  • This is Professor Strychnine from Mexico City. Great video! Love the band! In fact, a lot of people here in this city do.

  • This is Mark Jerson, friend of Get Hip. I did the re-record of this for submittal to YouTube. Glad this was mentioned on 1-25-07 in the Post-Gazette. The Cynics and Get Hip Recordings have been a long time fixture of the Pittsburgh Business landscape and should shine a bit more in the eyes of the city!

  • Great to hear this song again - it was always one of my favorites - even way back when The Wake played it.

  • @wanderer0404 Who are you wanderer? I wrote the music to this song.

  • @sspiecha - Hey Stan - long time since I've spoken to you. Sorry to take so long to answer but I have been in Italy for a few weeks and we just got back. This is Denise (otherwise known as Tom Hohn's first wife - now ex of course!) The Room was always a favorite of mine!

  • great song -- though, I'm used to a little noisier tune from the cynics. ;-)

and -- what a hoot to see jimmy and steve with the intro. takes me back....

r.i.p. the syria mosque and in pittsburgh mag, indeed.
