I didn't think the Today Show was as good after this. I didn't think Katie was as cool. Bryant was kind of a nerd but better than Matt.

When Bryant Gumble FINALLY left in 1997 after 15 years they had a HUGE 2 hour show with all kinds of celebrities and gifts and videos for that little asshole with his gynormous ego. Jane deserved better.

Sadly, I remember this episode. Jane Pauley also gave Deborah and alarm clock just like Bwabwa Walters gave her when she started.

Also, forgot to comment--was this all they did to say goodbye to Jane?? Katie had the full 3 hours dedicated to her when she left!

They made a big mistake replacing Jane with Deborah. Luckily Katie came along and corrected that mistake.
