  • pretty awesome man, what's the max load?

  • Is it for sale yet?

  • Just posted your videos on FB and Twitter... :)

  • Superb... You are simply a genius... I loved the idea and the machine...

You need to partner with people like Powertech or Body Solid to bring this baby to the market. I would definitely buy one as I currently use Powertech leverage and miss on the feel of the free weights. Your invention brings the best of both worlds in one package. You need to go and invent a machine in heavier gauge for heavy home lifters though.

    Keep up the good work...

  • Very innovative! Do you think you could modify this for negatives?

  • @FoodCubes Thanks for your comment and question. Yes you can do negatives on a modified version of the power spot. Please check out my other power spot video on youtube entitled Power Spot self spotting barbell and dumbbell machine. Or simply type in my channel darinvents in the search box.

  • @darinvents I checked out your video but i didn't see a negative setup.. How could you modify this for doing single person negatives?

  • Looks good, but only thing.. How are you supposed to do dumbbell flys ?

  • @ishnoo94 That's a good questions. Actually yes you can do dumbbell flys but not really well in this particular prototype. I will address that in a final version of the power spot. Please see my newest power spot video where I've already made some other improvements so you can use an olympic barbell and rack barbells and dumbbells. Go to my channell darinvents and it is the self-spotting barbell and dumbbell machine. Thanks again for your input.

  • wow man this is really genius. seriously, you can tell how much thought went into this product. The only detail i dont like as much is the fact that you have limited depth on when bench press exercise, your elbows can only go paralell

  • @frpAIOF Thanks for your comment, to answer your question, the safety spotters are adjustable. So, you can set them lower than I show them in the video to allow your elbows to drop below parallel when doing bench press.

  • This looks like it would work with a barbell too. Does Bowflex make a self loading set of barbell weights?

  • @invention2 Yes, the power spot works with a standard olympic barbell. As for Bowflex, I'm not aware of a self loading set of barbell weights.

  • wonderful!

  • @Bluebeater20 Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.

  • very nice

  • @shumiye0202 Thanks for watching.
