  • I used to just stare at the album cover while playing Hypnotized over and over again -surprised the needle didn't wear out!!!

And wondering why an ape was eating a cake, lol!! Incredible song!!!!

  • I was googling fleetwood Mac, in a nostalgic mood. And came across this song and video for the first time!

Wow, (shacking my head) ah I'm downloading it! And great job on the video, I'll have to see what other songs you could introduce me to, while capturing the essence of the song.

    NICE

  • Heard the beginning of this song on a radio talk show's bumper music after a break. I remembered the beat, then the music started to come back. Then I remembered most of the words! I loved this song back in "the day". It was great to hear it again! Thanks for posting it...

  • One of my favorite songs of all time. I have been looking for this forever. I remember hearing it back in the day and loving it but I could never remember the name. Thanks for the reminder!

  • Before Stevie Nicks (who I adore) & Buckingham joined the band, Fleetwood Mac was already a truly gifted, no, a truly great band. And yes, thanks for uploadin' this song and vid. And yeah, the Oregon coast is a marvel. As are the hills of Mexico. And the forests of Carolina. And this song. Mmmmmmmm.

  • good memories thanks

  • Surely best of the best from Flt/Mac before Lindsey Buckingham..Cudos to you for share..thanks

  • Oregon coast, coooool

  • My most favourit F/Mac song ever!! TX for upl;oading it K!

  • Been to that place in North Carolina!

  • Listening to Coast to Coast at 3 am one night and heard this song. WOW what memories. I scrambled the next day to find this forgotten classic on You Tube... Lay back one late night and put the buds in and take a listen to this awesome song. Beam me up Scotty. Genious. Thanks for the video!!!!

  • been to that "place in Mexico"

  • Dreamy hook, beat and lyrics. Makes me want to be in Bora Bora on beach watchin' sunset w/ a sangria.

  • how can anyone not enjoy this masterpiece compared to the vixen nicks

  • the music, the magic is there ---in our subconscious dream of earth and air.

  • Headphones Only!

  • JUST LOVE SO MANY OF THEIR SONGS,SO REAL LIFE

  • JUST LOVE SO MANY OF THEIR SONGS,SO REAL LIFE

  • Just beautiful!

  • Glad we can all agree this is a great song. And thanks all for your information re its origins. Remember when we bought the albums chilled out and read the liners from cover to cover?

  • Former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Bob Weston has died at the age of 64

  • Bob dares us to think about "other" things.

  • eargasm=)

  • BOB WELSH ON VOCALS !!!! GREAT

  • Wonderful song... trance-like rhythm...

  • @0917gva blah, blah-blah, blahblahblah, blah, blah-blah, blah. I'm right, you're wrong, I win, you're a loser.

  • @AjaxWolf1 you're wrong,you're the biggest loser...hahaha!!!

  • To me best FM track ever.

  • @0917gva Ha, a recluse that has made another 8 albums at least, and toured? Yeah, that's a solitary life we should all lead.

And you used Mystery to Me as the wrong time frame, not as the "early, early Fleetwood Mac".

  • after reading and listening, I could only wonder how anyone could get as uptight as some of those commenting could get. probably born just a little too late. mellow used not to be associated just with a drink called yellow - it used to be a way of life; one from which many have drifted too far. slide back if you can, its just a nicer place to be and one where the people are far more relaxed and easier to be around. right on

  • @0917gva I agree, enough is eough. I see no reason for you to continue to show your ignorance.

Peter Green is NOT a recluse, he prefers to stay out of the media hyped spotlight because of his schizophrenia. He continues to write, record and perform to this day.

Buckingham and Nicks joined the band on 12/31/74. Neither of them had anything to do with the writing or recording of Mystery to Me, or the following album, Heros are Hard to Find.

  • inescapable........

  • @0917gva you mean "incarnations", "incantations" are spells. And the band was call Fleetwood Mac from the beginning, Mic Fleetwood was a founding member and John McVie joining so after. And when asked about FM, I think of Peter Green.

  • @0917gva it's hard to consider this "early, early FM" when they made EIGHT studio albums before Mystery to Me

  • I LOVE this song. Thank you so much. Memory lane is great...Hypnotized. This song is perfect in everyway.

  • I do believe there is more to this song than meets the eye.

  • Still get chills from this song. I've loved it since the first time I ever heard it. Buckingham/Nicks era Fleetwood Mac has nothing on this song. Hits maybe, but this is better.

  • North Carolina!

  • I don't need any weed to enjoy this song

  • @pappysmp havin a beer and a ciggie...but the music does it for me

  • very pretty artwork!

  • This will be my first wedding dance with my husband next year...Will have to teach Henry to dance, both left feet...I can make this work and it will be awesome!

  • 15 people failed to go under the spell of this wonderful song.

  • I am Peruvian from Cusco, but when i listen this music i feel in the top of Machupicchu ruins watching all the amazing forest

  • Lovely song and video!

    Cheers

  • Makes me wish that I still smoked weed.

  • @jgyll8mt .....Thats what i thought, so i took a hit and remembered why i quit. wEiRd MaN~~~~ lol, PeAcE ::)

  • every time I hear this song,I would like to fly away from this world, so stone .

and never return to this world, and enter another dimension unknown

  • @MrJimmypage32 agreed

  • The mature music of The Mac,argue all ya want about ole BOB,the music says it all,OK Meathead !!

  • WOW!!!!!! A big step back to Jr. high!!!!!!! Forgot all about this song, my wife would freak if she knew the history behind this LOL.

  • 10 sur 10. La perfection existe

  • In my mind with this song, it is dark and cold outside down the freeway my dad is driving me home and playing this song very loud. I'm fourteen :)

  • @music4ages .. good story, stick to it, someone might believe you.

This is one of my favorite FM CD's .. their earlier stuff is so much better.

Bob Welch .. one rung in the ladder

  • Probably the most underrated song in history. Profoundly metaphorical lyrics, electrifyingly mesmerizing music, and smooth-as-silk vocals combine to give me chills down my spine and tears in my eyes. This song puts me in a different place, time, and dimension, a positive place devoid of unhappiness and suffering. Bob Welch is a musical genius. This song definitively proves that Bob was not in it for the money and did his own, unconventional thing. Think of Bob Welch as the anti-Justin Bieber.

  • AWESOME song, never get tired listening to it!!!

  • This music hypnotizes..

  • BAM...THIS SONG HITS YOU LIKE A TON OF BRICKS....GENIUS CLASSIC ROCK!!!! FLEETWOOD MAC WAS THE SHIT!!!!!!

  • The musicians of the 70's smoked the good stuff in order to put music like this together.

  • definitly timeless although i did not know it was fleetwood mac how long was bob welch with them

  • For some reason musicians dont make music like this anymore............ why? Nothing, and i mean nothing that you hear in this day and age even comes close to this.

  • Outstanding---I get lost in the past all over again :-)

  • One of my all-time favorites! ....what matters most is the feeling you get when you're hyp-no-tized.....

  • Play this song when you're feeling blue. It will lift your spirits, fill your heart with happiness, and make you feel reborn. Such a beautiful song.

  • Another Classic...I believe that is Bob Welch on vocals, after some hits in the late 70's...have not heard from him...wondering if he is still in the music scene?????

  • This is Beautiful ! The first time i've heard it. Great photos too. Thanks for sending it Gayle. Gary.

  • LOVE IT...... this is everlasting greatness...

  • great old tune

  • K,Ayou are so amazing!

  • Very nicely done! Thank you for posting this. One of my faves.

  • My favorite Fleetwood Mac song of all time. Guess I can relate and thank you for publishing. Our most important quest is our origins. When we find our "family" we will be at peace.

  • SALEM

  • BANG OR BANG OR BANG OR BANG OR BANG OR! CHECKMATE! 5

  • "SEE" HOW THIS WORKS. SPREADING WINGS BECOME A FLIGHT; THIS IS A MYSTERY TO ME THEY SAY DAY AND NIGHT. HOW CAN YOU EXPLAIN IT WHEN IT GIVES SUCH FRIGHT; DISTURBING, REAL, AND TRUE, FROM THE SIGHT. THEY SAY THE SIGHT OF IT ALL! JOAN MARIE, “QUEEN OF ROCK AND ROLL.” LISA MARIE, DAUGHTER OF “KING OF ROCK AND ROLL.” THE SIGHT OF IT ALL THEY SAY. THE SIGHT OF IT ALL! MY GOD THE SIGHT OF IT ALL! “EYE” 5

  • AND PRETTY PALM, SOMETHING FLY BY THIER WINDOW.? 5

  • Very nicely applied video with the music! I hadn't heard this song in years. Thanks for taking time to put this together.

  • Yep, I too was in another dimention when I first heard this song in 1973. Freakin fantastic for those of us chosen few to have been young in that special time !

  • I'm hypnotized by this tune.

  • Great old song with a hypnotic beat. I remember listening to this in another universe.

  • I've been reconnecting to music from college, which was a long time ago in a universe far far away. I remember listening to this song in a friend's dorm room, with the rain falling outside and the smell of ganja wafting from the room across the hall (how the RA missed it, I'll never know). Thanks for uploading this from someone taking a stroll away from the harsher side of life.

  • @music4dages The RA was probably the one responsible for the "wafting"! Haha. And welcome to the gentler side of life. Please come over and visit any time!

  • I also spent many 'haze' filled days kicking to this vinyl. I now have the CD. Some things never change. Still hazing and still listening @ 52!

  • @music4dages omg...I think we went to the same college...hahaha.. the guys smoking ganja were my friends on the 3rd floor... the RA's name was Richard..,,,and I remember someone playing FLEETWOOD MAC at high volume on their turntable......that was at Cal Poly SLO town...hehehe

  • Excellent!!!

  • 'Mac continued in this 'Hypnotized' direction a bit on the album that followed 'Mystery to Me', 'Heros are Hard to Find', specifically on the Welch penned song 'Bermuda Triangle'.

I had forgotten how much I liked this era of Fleetwood Mac. Too bad Welch left the group.

  • thanks, I needed that. :) (beautiful)

  • I really want to blast this as loud as I can!! BEST SONG EVER MAN!

  • 12 dislikes must be Bieber or Gaga fans...clueless!!!

  • These white boys have some soul...this song is great!

  • Beautiful interpretation of an incredible tune. Kudos!

  • luv the track and the video

  • How can there be 12 dislikes? I can't understand that. That just blows my mind, man

  • i first heard this song while i was vacuuming, i stopped, listened, and had to call the radio station to find out who it was. went and bought the (album) yes, i'm that old. now i have the cd. it's a necessary addition to any musical library.

  • @cwalker51906 you still rock!!

  • every time I hear this song , I would fly into space so far away from this planet, so stone, yeahhhhh and never coming back again.

  • @MrJimmypage32 I hear ya'. Makes me want to toke up, right now -- even tho' I haven't done that for a good 10 years!!!!

  • @marialena68 ,do with me and we could have a trip without return jajajajajaja

  • every time I hear this song , I would fly into space so far away from this planet, so stone, yeahhhhh and never coming back again.

  • Saw a Mac tour with Bob Welch. I don't know what Bob was on, but he flipped out on stage. They had to stop a song because he was just rambling. Very weird. Still, it was a good concert. He was very talented. Wondering what he's doing now?

  • @triplettam where was the concert at? Bob made the Mac of what it was, when he left the Mac lost one talented member

  • @pkappel006 San Diego. Forget the year; last year he was with them. I agree he was talented, but I think Peter Green, Danny Kirwin, Jeremy Spenser and others also had a helping hand making the Mac before they're last incarnation.

  • @triplettam yes, those folks also made the Mac.......I just did not like the band after Bob left as much as I did when he was with them. They had a different identity, at that was that

  • This song captures my senior high school year, not just because I listened so much in the mid 70's. And I was rather hypnotized myself most of the time... It's one of my all-time favorites (as is Chrisy's voice)

  • has anyone else noticed how youtube doesn't have to load/buffer anymore? o____o HUZZAH.

    As for a note on this song;

So hypnotizing. Fleetwood Mac is duh man.

  • FAR OUT man! Far out. When you are hypnotized; past, present, future... all are one.

  • Muy bueno

  • Never heard this song til Pandora. Can't get it out of my head! It's blues based, and I'm usually not big on the blues, but this piece is so richly ambient w dark, minor dissonance that is very atypical for the blues, with a driving rhythm, the great acoustic/electric interplay, and it's this rich dark ambience that enamors me so with this song. The whole vibe takes me to cool nights at deep dusk in the late spring with only traces of reds, yellows against the deepening blue, & one or two stars.

  • new pictures you added are great!! Maybe an Eclipse towards the end?? on next change.

  • every time I hear this song,I would like to take a trip into space so stone, to get away from this world. and never and never return again

  • they rock me on top of my world :) >Jazzy

  • good job ese!

  • Love them little green men! Wild Man!

  • Love it!

  • beautiful

  • yes the person doing the lead vocals here is bob welch he was with the band around approx.time transition when peter greene????

  • Great song!

  • great song from the Bob Welch days of Mac. I appreciate the different eras of this band.

Christine was there throught this period and is singing background vocals

  • great posting. Fleetwood Mac with Bob Welch was great. For my taste, much better than the later FMac with Buckingham and Nicks

  • AWESOME

  • Christine Mc. Vie was already onboard. But not as dominant as in later affairs. It all startet with Nicks and Buckingham joining the lot. For better or worse? We all know the history!

  • I feel I am taking a trip sofar away from this planet ,very stone, Yeahhhh Lord take me to heaven please

  • I feel I am taking a trip sofar away from this planet ,very stone, Yeahhhh Lord take me to heaven please

  • I was hypnotized once, and during the time I was under I met a wonderful man and got married. 2 years later I came out of the trance and remembered that I was a man!! Do you know how embarrassing that was? Especially since we had 2 kids!!

  • thanks.. perfect for this song.. I woke up to it one morning and kind a daze window open breeze blowijg in and wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh what a perfect song to wake up to!!!

  • I love the shit out of Stevie Nicks, but this is one of they're better songs. Though this video doesn't do it justice.

  • the real heart and soul of fleetwood m. was bob welch, who wrote and performs this version even though he had left mac yrs before. his other contribution sentimental lady.

  • Hope you people know this song is about UFOS ,Awesome song!!!

  • I've been looking for this song...long time

  • One of my old personal favorites, a true masterpiece

  • Didn't Dave Mason play with Fleetwood Mac on this early album? Either way...I'd forgotten just how good this really is. Raw!!!

  • , I feel taken a great trip so far away from this planet, very stone

  • A beautiful, spiritual song. Reaches down inside you and pulls your emotions out in front...

  • @1jetdrvr you are right Men, I feel taken a great trip so far away from this planet

  • Best to play this right before or after Jefferson Airplane's

    "Miracles "

  • I'm hypnotized! In a good way!

  • Thought it was really good

  • Thanks ! great job!

  • @angryscowl thanks.

  • The reason the view count is so low is because no one knows the name of the song. Every time I post it after 6 mos. on facebook, no one knew this was Fleetwood Mac nor the name of the song. For me, I would have to place it in my top 5 favorites of all time.

  • Sweet tune with a killer laid back melody. Good stuff. Also check out the song "Of A Lifetime" from Journey. Another hidden gem that many overlook.

  • What I feel...I can't explain. This piece of music is just so mesmerizing...makes me want to walk around Chicago at 2 in the morning...

  • As the late Marc Bolan once said, "Play in a loud cloud!"

  • i really enjoyed this video..great photography efforts.probably one my favorite vintage/classic F.W.M. SONGS .its underappreciated i think.. most sincerely,,jason mahan/brasspineapple productions peace

  • @danocean111213 thanks for the kudos

  • Hey this video rocks because I live on the "other" side of THE MOUNTAIN...Mt. Shasta-You can see it just like in the video but in California, Shasta county! Thanks for the awesome view! -Big Mike 318 John 3:18 God Bless

  • @bigmike69fodaladies Ha! You noticede that! Yup, we get some pretty good views up here of that big ole mountain. Does the snow ever melt on that mt?? God bless you, too.

  • The snow never melts

  • @danocean111213 Yes, one of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs, and this song was produced before they really hit the big time. Great video. It captures the theme of the song.

  • My parents gave me this album in near mint condition and I must say this is one of my favorite FM albums besides Bare trees. If you do some history on the band you'll see they go way way back. being born in 69 I had the chance to be able to enjoy music at it's finest. Some of these bands nowadays make it seem as though music has lost its way.lady gaga??WTF???

  • Excellent!!!!

  • My favorite Fleetwood Mac song, by far. It's just a cool song overall--the music, lyrics and the vocal.

  • Early, early Fleetwood Mac, but I 'gotta say it is one of my favorites and I Love Fleetwood Mac so that is saying a lot. I love this because it speaks to my spiritual/etheral side. I know, by experience, there are things beyond this realm we know as earth. I have been blessed with some exceptional, inexplicable experiences. I always related to this song because I know the truth in it and it sounds terrific as well. Thank you for this post.

  • @gva0917

    you are very welcome.

  • @gva0917 So very true. For most of my life, I have seen through the cracks and have experienced a true miracle as well. I've been blessed. Seems like a dream...

  • @1jetdrvr Thank you for your comment. It is good to know others who have had metaphysical experiences or other non-traditional situations that have shown them there is far more than meets the average person's senses. Like you, I feel blessed with the inexplicable experiences I have had. Kindred spirits. :)

  • This is still one of my all time favorite songs. Orgasmically hypnotized!

  • great tune , vid fits perfectly.grand work,kudos,

  • Great song! Brings back fond memories.

  • Awesome track............To me the best song by FM
