Only some contain cyanide such as Cherry, apple, peach and apricot which you don't eat and if you do swallow one it has a protective covering. You would have to remove the shell chew many of them to get to the cyanide.
There is more cyanide in Cassava we eat in Africa, but we soak it properly to remove it.
For example, you would have to eat a 1/2 cup of apple seeds at one time for them to have a negative effect on you, plus you would have to chew them up to break the protective cover. THAT IS WHY WHENEVER WE EAT SEEDS THEY COME OUT IN OUR WASTE WHOLE. That is why animals eat seeds. Sweet type has low cyanide bitter can be 50 times as much. Some framers in Africa prefer the bitter type because pests don't attack it as much but people can get the disease called konzo from it.
It is generally safe if you soak chunks 3 days in water change water each day, throw away the water then boil it in new water. But sweet variety is safer especially if you soak it the same way

Like you said the cashew has urushihol and the ones called "raw" are really steamed to remove this. This is what you buy in the store and they cause less allergies than peanuts(legume) or some of the true nuts like walnuts.
What's the problem? You find a toxin in a chemical test? O.k then accept the fact that you don't eat tomato leaves or the sprouts on potatoes and if you test the tomato fruit or the potato without these sprouts they aren't toxic -but always remove the skin,

You need to provide sources before you start scaring everybody. Almonds have been cultivate for over 3000 years they are domesticated not the "bitter seed" type. Are all seeds bad no. Only some contain cyanide such as Cherry, apple, peach and apricot which you don't eat and if you do swallow one it has a protective covering. You would have to remove the shell chew many of them to get to the cyanide.
There is more cyanide in Cassava we eat in Africa, but we soak it properly to remove it.

For example, you would have to eat a 1/2 cup of apple seeds at one time for them to have a negative effect on you, plus you would have to chew them up to break the protective cover. THAT IS WHY WHENEVER WE EAT SEEDS THEY COME OUT IN OUR WASTE WHOLE. That is why animals eat seeds. The point is to release the seeds in the waste (natural fertilizer) so the seed can re-plant itself and already has the "jump-start fertilizer" to cultivate. Nature knows what it is doing.

I think you mean impotence not impetus. There are different types of Cassava sweet or bitter.
Sweet type has low cyanide bitter can be 50 times as much. Some framers in Africa prefer the bitter type because pests don't attack it as much but people can get the disease called konzo from it.
It is generally safe if you soak chunks 3 days in water change water each day, throw away the water then boil it in new water. But sweet variety is safer especially if you soak it the same way
