  • soapstone really? whoever made that is planning for it to fall anyway using such a weak material as that

  • I'm certainly not comfortable with it. I've never liked images of Christ. Plus, think of the time, effort, and money that goes into the construction of something like that, and think of what wonderful, helpful, and necessary things those resources could be used toward instead. There are souls that need saving! That's how we glorify the Lord, by bringing people to him. Bibles and missionary supplies can help. A statue won't save anyone!

  • @theveryelect24 Now that's a great point. I don't feel comfortable about it either and the waste of resources is a point that has not been made. Amen!

  • @theveryelect24 true , God said not worship creation. Not to worship things he creates. Not to worship symbols or angels or Churches , but they do

  • Also been watching videos on this New Age moment and Benjamin Creme and he said that his "Christ" that they compare to Muhammad, Pagan Prophets and even Jesus and try and put them on the same level. Obviously, they aren't the same with Jesus being the only way to God. However, his so called "Christ" looks exactly like the Jesus in the paintings that we know about today. So this could be a way to deceive real followers into believing in a false Jesus/Christ.

  • it is an abomination and so is zues and the statue of liberty the pagen god. and so is everything why god has a problem with jesus i do not know. even crosses are wrong to have with jesus on them it symbolizes death but to me it symbolizes gods sacrifice to us and our allegiance to him but god is not of any symbols he is of the mind spirit and words.

  • hope you like the convo and aren't upset we are messaging up your video lol.

  • @indibabs122275 Not a problem at all. I really think it's an important discussion. Thanks for the input!

  • That idol is spiritual warfare; a type of sorcery overshadowing the land, a subtle ruse bewitching the Children. Further keeping them blind to truth of themselves and empowering their enemies, who absolutely want to see them quenched. My brothers and sisters in Brazil and all over must be aware that harm can only touch us when we break our own laws. Know thyself and study to show thyself approved. Shalom.

  • @LAMBYAH I can definitely see your point. hmm

  • Certainly it is a graven image; indeed an idol.(See Exodus 20: 1-6, Deuteronomy 5:6-9)There were millions of Israelites brought to the new world, and especially to Brazil for slavery; which was the fullfilment of Yah's words,"...visiting the inquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me" Exodus 20:5.Now the the Laws and curses in the Torah pertain strictly to the children of Israel not the gentiles.

  • Total idolatry. I always say to those who pray to statues and the pictures of the typical "american looking Jesus", they are making a mistake. Unless you found a Polaroid from b.c. how do you know that is his nose, eyes, hair? long hair was looked down on, they weren't that light colored there, those are just a few things that tell me no way am I praying to that picture, statue, whatever. Also you could have just one feature wrong and be praying to a joe schmoe. Its a risk I won't take.

  • @indibabs122275 Exactly. Blue eyes, long hair and pretty doesn't seem very logical to me and definitely not white, and I'm a white guy!

He probably looked like everyone else over there and white ain't it! ...and it says it's a shame for a man to have long hair so that's out too, and unless he had a pigment issue you can forget the blue eyes as well I would suspect, but you're right, we don't know his appearance.

    Amen! :)

  • @vudumojo thank you! i tried to say it sensitively. im black & hispanic, i don't claim he was black either. hearing a white man agree makes me feel better. if he was that pale, he would not have fit in. he had to be somewhat low key to build up to his job his father sent Him to do. if he was the only white person in the land he would have stood out like a sore thumb. long hair would have been a huge no no! i figure we don't know what he looks like, but will know Him when he arrives. ty mojo!

  • @indibabs122275 Thank you and very well said. Amen!

If he's white like me when he arrives, that'll be fine with me or any color for that matter, but I suspect he WAS when he was born of Mary, the same color as she was. Makes sense, doesn't it? I just wonder what the agenda was to create that fake Jesus painting to begin with! They made him look like a sissy, hippy, feminine, new age-ish, pacifist, almost half male and half female... The eyes even look female. He was a carpenter! Construction!

  • @vudumojo That's the point. New Age or mixed the pagan things with the so-called Christian things. The Catholic church had a lot to do with that. And had a lot of control and Constantine mixing the holidays to make them "Christian" to get conversions didn't help either. I just hope that people see these things so we won't be deceived and know to live by the Bible alone and what's in it.

  • @indibabs122275 Satan knew he would have to create deceptions at the end to get as many as he could from God. So, if the world falls in love with this pic, so few even question it, and angels are described as being able to appear in any form. ok ... Satan will appear as this "Jesus" , come out of the sky on a cloud, and think of when Jesus even says in Revelation "beware, if anyone tells you look, there is the Christ, or Christ is out in the dessert do not go" Mat 24:23. This could be why. ;-)

  • @indibabs122275 That's true. And also in these paintings/sculptures they do the same thing for angels when the Bible describes them as having four or six wings not two. The two wings came from Greek mythology with some of their false gods, as did the halos with other pagan religions, because it never mentions angels having halos in the Bible. Also when these so called Mary apparitions appear, she looks like the ones in the paintings and tell people to worship her and not God. Red flag.

  • @vudumojo but in the Bible it does tell us things about Jesus with his appearance such as hair like wool and bronze skin. The Jesus in the paintings/statues are not Jesus but people are taught that it's him and same with Mary, God, other prophets to fit with the European standards at the time. Also a lot of people weren't allowed to read the Bible or illiterate during those times periods as well. So for me the statues are paintings are a form of idolatry, esp. when worshiped.

  • everytime i see that statue i feel like its a guy going to commit suicide and jump off the mountain. mostly because that isnt jesus its a statue made in the image of the guys who painted the "son of man" images in the 1200s-1500s later claiming that to be jesus and using the same images as reanactments of events in the bible. overall i do believe its idolatery in a sense even though no one is bowing down to worship it.

  • @Forcystus1337 Thank you THANK YOU for your input my friend. You are so right :)

Nice analogy about it looking like a jumper ready to dive off the the mountain to it's death. Interesting!

  • Not a fan of statues or of fish or of crosses. They can be displayed by anyone. Worn around the neck or stuck to cars or to dress a garden or porch. It causes problems for some because they put undo importance on them, sometimes completely misplaced. It's a handicap imho. Our strength is in our faith and hope... things unseen!

  • @taaronemore74 Amen and Amen

  • I think, Jesus is of the Father, & you dont get to the father but through him. & He most certainly died for our sins. But he never said NOT to follow the commandments but many christians dont follow them, many cant, even though they try,& that is Why We have him as our savior. But gentiles too i believe should work to do as best as we can to try to obey the father,& therefore try to remove burden from christ. a statue erected is fine, but not to be worshiped, prayed to, or anything like that.

  • @2skullscrushing Great point. Thanks for your perspective my friend.

  • @vudumojo In all fairness, I could be wrong. Because its also like when christ said the two main, "heart of the law" commandments were love the father with all your heart, & love your neighbor as you love yourself. But see if you love the father with all your heart, I would much rather not risk it, and have no statue. & I base that on how we tend to treat statues. If you've ever seen the catholics kissing the st. Peter statue ,in the vatican. very offending to God I would think.so none is safer

  • @2skullscrushing "none is safer" Hmmn, I think I would have to agree with that statement :)

  • The answer is: Jesus is not Muhammad, and we're not Muslims. Nor are these statues, etc. ("images") things we pray to or worship. Nor are they symbols of pagan gods and we don't worship them.

  • I don't know about this. But I do know Jews hate Jesus with a passion and say He's burning in hell and they just love that. I very much doubt that the people who made this statue hate Jesus.

  • @syyenergy7 Good point bro... I appreciate your input.

I'm just throwing this out as a question. Thanks again for your thoughts :)

    God bless

  • so now i have a tattoo of jesus does this mean I'm buggered

  • @scotty4fingers Interesting question.

Here's another for your unique dilemma:

Leviticus 19:28 "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I [am] the LORD"

So, "nor print any marks upon you" what would you say the meaning is here?

Or is this only in reference to doing it for the dead? ...and does that count for Jesus? ...or is it different because he was resurrected?

    Your thoughts?

  • @vudumojo The pagans and heathen are the ones who made marks on their flesh. Not God's people

  • @filoIII Good point. So what if some of God's people TODAY "print" and "mark" their own flesh and what if what they print on their flesh is the likeness of Jesus? What are your thoughts on this?

  • @vudumojo I believe it's displeasing to Him. 1Th 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.--Leave the tats and piercings to the heathen.

  • @vudumojo I believe all of those levitical laws are only for israel. the twelve tribes. They are different, because God chose them for a task. If you study exodus, it says they will be the ruling priests in the kingdom of Heaven. & also remember he was using them to create the archetype for the passover, that they were chosen to later recognize, which they failed, & why jesus said they could tell seasons, but not his coming.Even though prophecies were clear about his coming, being rejected/killed

  • @vudumojo my thoughts are that there is so much written in the bible that people do not agree on the meaning that I am not even close to being clever enough to argue or debate these things, I believe in jesus and he died for our sins, I have opened my heart to him and i always try and do the right thing, I try not to sin and am getting better and better, I look for the signs in revelations so that I honour what should be in end times and that i do not get fooled by false prophets, i hope it enuf

  • @scotty4fingers Well amen scotty, once you've got markings they're hard to get rid of and I agree...now we see through a glass, darkly. One day we will see clearly. Those who think they know it all are most deceived aren't they?

Rightly divide the Scripture my friend with your eyes and let the Spirit reveal it to you and God will reveal it on a need to know basis as needed! :)

    God bless

  • @vudumojo thanks for ur comments, like i say i have let Jesus into my heart and I have faith he will guide me at the right times, god bless

  • Literally speaking, any statue could be considered an idol since it is an image of something of this earth. Personally I think that it has a lot to do with the intent of creating the image since the Commandment also mentions bowing down and worshiping before it. If people worship this statue, then it is idolatry. If they see it and appreciate Christ's love and sacrifice for us, then I do not believe it is. What church doesn't have a painting or statue of Christ or the Cross?
