@d0dgerdante Well, you have to take into account that not every German is very fluent in English. All our movies are dubbed into the German language and most appreciate the convenience of not having to read subtitles but being able to fully focus on the movie instead. You are right, however, that his voice is so unique and powerful that it is a shame it gets lost. It should be said, though, that most of the time the German voice actors do a really decent job.

Watch "Valhalla" or "The Last Unicorn" in the german dubbed version . He does his own voiceover in german and it's accent-free! I mean, his german is perfect! Until recently I didn't even know it was him in these movies. Of course if you know, you recognize a SLIGHT bit of an accent but that's really only if you listen very closely.
