  • PHYSICS AND SHIT

  • I wonder if all elements have a possible quadruple state, take carbon for example at the correct pressure and temperature theoretically inside the chamber will be carbon clouds sleeting diamonds and carbon on island of black carbon floating in liquid carbon. I would sure like to see that happening live :)

  • @optionsnone Re-thining that it would be, quintuple point with plasma clouds, in gas, sleeting diamonds and carbon, on carbon islands, in a sea of liquid carbon .

  • @vmelkon + @pcorf ofcourse you are right, the 58 Bar is the filling pressure @21 °C, @ 31°C and vaporpressure 72.8 Bar the supercritical state should happen

  • Well this happens only above 72.8 Bar. Fire extinguishers have about 58 Bar and heating to 31C wouldn't increase the pressure enough to go to the supercritical state.

  • @ruudoleo Yes it would because as you heat the liquid inside the pressure inside will increase and the liquid and gas states would merge.

  • I guess this happens often to fire extinguishers with CO2 when the ambient temp goes above 31C.

  • feels good man
