  • I think that while this would make the procedures more efficient, there is still too many other reasons to have a physical doctor there. There's only so much you can learn from a patient's condition by a camera look, and complications can be much more quickly found when you're physically there, looking at every point on the patient.

  • jajajajajajajajajaja and if i close the door what happens ??

  • this is idiotic, docs need to be here to perform procedures, this is like one doc telling another doc what to do

  • We need technology now that stops bleeding. It's very possible. Eliminating Loss of blood is crucial to the survival of the Victim.

  • thumps up if u thought that was real before u saw it was fake!

  • That was cOOl...LOLL

  • if this was to seriously be implemented in EMS, it would change emt's from not only providing priority interventions, but also they would be videographers.

  • How long will it be before someone has an accident and gets treated by a group of poorly qualified staff recieving instructions from a robot in order to save cash.

  • New technology? Trialled here for the first time? Strange how I remember seeing this 2 years ago being trialled in London on one of your own programs, BBC. Google "Superdoctors".

Also...I fail to really see how ground-breaking this is...it's basically a TV on a stick. The portable version does seem to have potential though...but if you're going to limit use to trauma rooms, wouldn't it be better to have permanent cameras and screens?

  • Note: Because you've seen a faked scene, what would be the results if an individual was implanted or told they have one (Microchip) inside of their very being? Would you the viewer believe the individual and does this illegal tagging fall within the realms of Torture and or the Nazi manifesto?

    How would you react?

Great Technology but DO NOT excuse the individuals who are pushing it towards the realms of bad SCIENCE. Just saying....

  • The robot is not faster than a human and no doctor would rather be sitting in the office with a patient next door . This technology WILL save many lives. And anybody who thinks that TRAUMA doctors are lazy...you have NO RESPECT for what they do for our community. Shame on you!!!! Google search TELEMEDICINE and understand how this works.

  • this is amazing technology. Imagine how much this will be helpful in a war situation, where you might not have all kinds of specialists in the battle field, and assistance like this can save lives. This was used to help the victims in Haiti after the big hurricane last year. Doctors in Miami were able to assist their colleges in Haiti. In a hurricane, tornado...where you might have so many victims this will help so many people so much faster.

  • and it saves time because the roboter is faster than a human..? it took minutes and a hospital staff parade to get him to the patient.

some remote cameras in the intensive care would sound more senseable to me...

  • Wow! It turns Doctors into lazy people and improve your chances of surviving!!?

  • its good in terms of expertise however you could imagiine specialists sitting in offices just doing this and then feeling the need to not go and visit patients

  • my mom died in a car crash i wish they had this tech in 2008

  • @biggboots

  • @messidona1989 yup :D du?

  • @imserving09 im sorry but if im close to dieing id rather be saved instead of relying on something with no evidence id rather trust medicine.

  • @liamrenn If you were in critical condition and needed a specialist (and the closest one needed to drive in and would take an hour) this could connect your doctors to a specialist in minutes. It really could save your life

  • @texasvc i know i didnt say i didnt like this idea i was responding to someone who thought religion could save him

  • why can't they bring it here

  • good robot!
