@scrato0 A lot of dumb people maybe. Or weak advertising. I think it a lot of it has to do with the fact that casual and new gamers just want action oriented gameplay. Some of my younger friends don't understand what's fun about sneaking around. Or the fact that in Hitman you're supposed to kill only your main target. Thinking isn't trendy anymore I guess. =/
Amazing how many quality MOD's and fanmade content can be completely superior than the retail games they are made for (Allbeit free mind you) Other standouts that come to mind Google: Project Reality mod for Battlefield 2, Mechwarrior living legends for Crysis
Hey guy this seems like a i great expansion but i'm having some problems with it. I'm running a vista and i can run Thief 2 and Thief 2x, they work fine for a bit but when i start playing it freezes and stops and it gets out of the game and trys to fix the problem but it doesn't work. Is there a way to run these games well on a vista becuase i'm really dying to play them and i dont have a old computer. So if you can help me that would be great.
Have you set the affinity to make sure only 1 cpu is running? The problem alot of old games have is that they aren't compatible with the dual cpu computers. I had the same problem for a long time where the game would freeze alot. Dunno if this is your problem, but it could be = P
@toztizok A lot of things in T2X is underwhelming. The story is one, as it is predictable, and some of the dialog is bad. It couldn't have been better, but it's not terrible by my standards.
I completed this game several months ago. I must say I am impressed. I liked most of the levels and I also liked the fact that this time you are playing the role of a female thief. I had high hopes for Stolen, but I guess Zaya took the cake.
It could still use some work, I'm afraid. It's very challenging, though, but I wish that they had put a little more work into the character animations. In the beginning, Kedar walked really choppy-like when you were following him home. Me, I like it though!
OM gosh, I only just discovered that Thief2X was made by fans over 5 years. Brilliant, and a female hero too. This is so going to get downloaded. Thanks for posting.
Wow...I am downloading this ASAP. Confusion and ice arrows and zombies that puke on you. Nice...Thief is one of my favorite series....I must play this.
well...I know I don't like the looks of it...:( I still like to play as Garrett...I suppose a change wouldn't hurt...and maybe the game might not be as bad as what it is shown....ah man...
Probably the best mod ever made. It exceeds Thief 1, and is just as good as Thief 2 and 3. Shame about the voice work. "I think he looks old. That makes it a bad painting" is one of the many cringeworthy quotes.
It's really impressive that they pulled that off... I wish CoSaS would move along a bit faster, though. Everyone seems to have moved on to the Dark Mod now, so I guess they're not getting the encouragement they need.
I really can't understand how thief didn't get big. :/

An awesome addition to Thief 2, that gives an alternate view of the events in the main game.
This should be part of every Thief fan's repertoire :)

Look it up on moddb. It's a mod for the Doom 3 engine. Basically it turns the game into an up-to-date Thief.
