Ive had several HDTVs...I was wondering will a monitor make the response time a bit better because i cant stand the response times on hd tvs...Also will 120hz and higher be better in terms of response time on tvs..Thanks

And of course HD tv will always be looks bigger but not higher resolution than monitors and monitor are more than for gaming console cause it supports a high end video cards and i can set my color effect just like on my HD tv and it's better.

@sesestro What?!?!? HDTV's are absolutely MEANT for highest resolution. HD Moniter's are more compact, but has a lower res compared to an HDTV

@Bloodyghost75 monitor resolutions can destroy HDTVs in resolution and even response rates, but for consoles they cant support all monitor resolutions and with LCD if u dont put the native resolution u get stretching or blurriness etc (or letterbox in good cases)

Grand Theft Auto 4 looks the same as it does on the PS3..

xbox, and the PS3 are close to the same on graphics..

The XBOX just has smoother gaming, and can run a higher pixel rate, and just makes graphics look better..

BUT, the PS3 will Improve on their graphics..

because the PS3 uses a "Cell".. which has potential to make games look better, but I'm sure Sony knows of this.. so, they will Improve this.. Knowing Sony.. :)

with tv's you get more ghosting, with monitors, you can get down to 2 ms response time....so for gaming go for the monitor....and they get higher resolutions. monitors are just overall better....(for computers) all consoles are just a waste of time...

2560 TO 1600 On consoles are impossible...their max resolutions are1920 to 1200...I have a 30 inch lp3065c and it wont work with anything but a dvi d graphic card....

u gotta look it up on digital versus to see how much lag it has

and if its not on digital versus and you cant find lag tests elsewhere, assume is laggy as fuck and dont get it

I've been waiting for my VGA cable for my 360. Finally my mom gave into me getting that. You know, why waste money on a 15 inch for $150 when I can just play it off of my monitor for $10 (got it on ebay).

The only con about playing video games on a monitor is that TVs have a ratio of 16:9, while monitors have an aspect ratio of 16:10. Other than that, monitors are a better choice, they are cheaper and have a higher resolution.
