Crackaddict is a perfect fit. UAL ***WAS*** a great airline ... a LONG, LONG time ago. Quit living in the past. It's been in and out of last place in every airline customer satisfaction survery, alternating places with USAir. Wake up ... it's not the 1980s any longer.
@StevieWonder737 Then, dear friend, Explain who the best U.S. carrier is, Hm? As far as i can see, you're hating for the sake of hate with no real backing behind it.
The thing I Don't like about the merger is the damn Hate and half-assed 'facts' being thrown around. First, United has been through bankruptcy too so I don't see why people use that as ammunition when CO came out a fully profitable airline. United Changed Paint and Kept Gershwin, Economy Plus, Boeing Loyalty, and what truly makes Our airline strong: People, Planes and Routes.
I'm a UA employee myself and I say: Give us a damn chance to Show we will be better than everI
UAL sucked hard for a long time. It was once a great airline but hasn't been since the late sixties/early seventies. It was at the bottom or next to last in customer satisfaction for well over a decade. The airplanes are beyond tired both inside and out. Mean and nasty flight attendants, crappy food, irritating customer service agents are the legacy of UAL.
@StevieWonder737 You're an idiot. UA was hugely successful in the 80s and 90s as well, way more than Continental, who filed through 2 bankruptcies and was easily viewed as an airline not even fit for a 3rd world country. Nasty labor relations, ugly planes, arrogant employees, you name it, Continental has it. UA was also doing better than Crapinental up to the time the merger was announced.
Unless it lands in another paint shop to get rid of that god awful CO livery and bring back the Tulip, I will not like where they land. These ads and the "new" brand are just disgusting. Way to go $mi$ek.
@cripplehawk Pfft, if anybody was the ugly girl, it was Continental. Just look at the ugly livery. US Airways has far better colors. Hell, even Southwest has a better livery than "United' now.
This crap is almost insulting given the sophstictaed, timeless, and simply beautiful commercials UA had from 2004-2010. More Continental ping pong, Wallyworld attempts at marketing.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO KEEP CONTINENTAL AWAY FROM UNITED WAAAAA
