now see, this is wher music gets historic. like months agho, i found an mp3 of jimi hendrix wailing away in the guitar at woodstock and i spazzed out. music serves another purpose: memory, and thank god for that. i mean, lots of senoir citizens must think about how much fun it was to dance with thier boyfriends and girlfriends to this song back in the day when gas was a nickel....
Took a gal to her senior prom in 1973--this one had more people on the dance floor than all of the rock songs that the band played that night combined.
After they played it, everyone wanted to hear "Take the A Train", "One O'Clock Jump", "Moonlight Seranade", etc. I began to think that maybe my parents were right after all: their music WAS a lot more romantic.
my grandmother taught me how to do the fox trot to this song and ill never forget that...after she caught me snooping around in her records....i was 13.....LOL!
Thankyou for putting this on its the only real one of this song i can find we are doing a dance to this at school and i really needed this song so thanks again!!
yea my middle school is playing this but a lot of the sax parts and trumpets parts are switched like at around 0:52 the trumpets play what the saxes normally do...proving what u said...btw could u do sing, sing, sing my school's jazz band also played that i wanna hear it
