@HardRokMiner You should listen to Roscoe Holcomb's version of this song, as recorded on "Kentucky Mountain Music" in 1959. This is not a Johnny original. It is an old mountain tune, traditionally sang in a "high, lonesome" style. Mr. Cash would be very proud of Mr. White because Mr. Cash probably knows how this song originally sounded.
