Its a simple fight as long as you melee pays attention for the Nova, and the second Emalon charges a add, they go to town on the add.

And no Staplejrm, the tank doesnt run away from Nova.

No. Tanks take it, heal through. On H VoA need six heals; two on each tank, preferably single target healers, and the other two healers, pref aoe heals, on raid. Healers are positioned on the middle of the stairs. At least that's how we do it in my guild. Good luck!

I liked the music, but I get the feeling that a guide on Emalon is rather a moot point. Anyone who's at the point of needing a guide on this boss probably isn't skilled/geared/experienced enough to handle the fight, while those with skill/gear/experience enough to handle Ema won't need a guide since the fight is pretty straightforward after 2 or 3 wipes, if that.

Thanks for the guide anyway, it wasn't too bad, except for the text, as it was a bit hard and annoying to read, quite honestly.

I honestly cant see your average pug ever killing this guy. The adds require a fair amount of dps and quickly too. Tried it last night with a so called 'good' guild on our realm and had lots of trouble with the adds.

What's the easiest way to target the mob that has the stacking buff? That was a big part of the problem. (plus the 3rd tank not taunting it out of the group /sigh)

The best way to do it is have a semi-tank like a DK assigned to watching like a hawk for the buff and pulling the mob out of the crowd immediately with a taunt. Another option is having two tanks each taking 2 mobs - that way its a lot easier to see which one has the buff and swapping. Also - all dps need to save cooldowns to kill the adds fast, like blow cooldowns for the first one, heroism for the second one, cooldowns again for the third.

blizzard's trash mobs are now a bit more like "tester" mobs - i.e. if you can't kill them in time, your dps is probably not high enough to kill the boss :)
