go to the top of the photoshop screen and you will see a arrange documents button past the view extras button further left. it will be in the top left hand corner and look like a screen. After you find it click on it and drop down the options and u should see different options choose the one that says 3 up. This will convert all your pictures into separated smaller windows like his is in the tutorial.

Go to file >open> select your photo. and it will pop up your first picture. Go back to File>open and open your secound file. Now go to file>new>and make a new document with a white background. now go to the button that looks like a ruler in a square called view extras. Check the show guides and show extra's. select all the documents one by one and push that button so all of them have a ruler placed.

Ok so I see alot of people asking the same question. How do you set it up so there is 3 windows all in the one screen for photo shop. Here is what he didnt tell you. First find 2 pictures you like. Save the pictures to your desk top or somewhere were you will remember how to get to it. Open photoshop up.

As mentioned before, never have your windows maximised in photoshop otherwise it covers the whole screen - btw, thats the picture windows NOT Photoshop application, keep that maximised! Hope that helps

i'm doing EXACTLY what you said here, but CS2 just won't blend images together! what the hell? when I select the image (not the mask) and use the gradient it obviously puts white gradient on it, but when I select mask and use gradient on it, it doesn't do anything. i'm seriously pissed off right now

You need to ensure the gradient tool selected, and that you have black/white as colours (not foregrd/transparent), make sure the mask icon is clicked on, then drag gradient over image. If you get a black white gradient covering image, then you have not added a mask to the image layer, and not ensured you have the mask icon in the layers palette selected! hope that helps

I Find "dd1992g" if you do it once and it dose it hold down the Ctrl and z button to go back a step and then drag it from a different direction,

You need to make sure you have the thumbnail in the layers palette for the mask selected, thats the one on the right.

I had this happen too. Make sure you add the mask and that you are applying the gradient to the mask. If you forget to add the mask then it will go black or white because you are applying the gradient to the whole image

Your new document probably was in Grayscale Mode and the reason why your pictures was way Zoomed was because of the picture resolution.

You must drag from the edge of the top picture as thats where the blend starts, if you drag too far off the edge you will see the image. Try and copy the video exactly to see. The do Control+Alt+Z to undo and try another drag starting in different postion to see the difference
