Thank you for posting. An amazing documentary with extremely brave guys with fantastic attitudes and family. Best of luck to them and their colleagues regardless of their nationality.
@JohnSmithTheSecond No words could adequately describe how moved I was watching this presentation. But it wasn't just the rehab these boys went thru, it was their goals to rejoin their mates in their platoon(?) that was so inspiring. It was so educational to see the soldiers from initial trauma to some level of functional independence. Sending strength and continued perserverence them. Would love to find out how they are doing now. Many thanks on your part for putting this out there!
Truly amazing, no words to describe. I am so moved by the courage of these men, God bless them and people around them, and may they have brighter future!
@JohnSmithTheSecond - Thank you for posting this in full, very much appreciated. The courage and determination these men have shown renews my pride in Britain, and reaffirms my pride in our Armed Forces. Tom and Andy - an incredible well done to the pair of you.
@JohnSmithTheSecond I've had them on all morning as I paint the house, the Wootton Bassett documentary had me attempting to paint whilst sniffling away! Many thanks again.
it's nice that he got some of his vision back i hope it gets better, i would have a hell of a time dealing with losing my legs but i know i would want to live if i couldn't see on top of losing my legs, poors guys wish you all the best
I had to put my eye make-up on twice, watching this. I was SO proud and moved by the character of these men. I'm the type that wells up and tears up when I feel strong emotion. Gosh I'm moved by them. I can't believe Tom doesn't have a girl yet. He's an incredible catch. And I an see why Natalie grabbed Andy...handsome fellow ad obviously a man a woman can make a life with. Best to all.
@JohnSmithTheSecond I thought this was so important that I made a playlist of it--renaming it "To Fight Another Day"--posted it to my YouTube site ad promoted it to my friends and subscribers. Thanks for making this available.
This documentary deserves an Oscar. I spent 2 weeks with Tom doing rehab in Oklahoma City. I have the exactly same amputations as him plus the left arm, which makes me a quad amputee. We had a very fun time together. I look up to both of them and got very, very happy that Andy recovered his sight. HAPPY END!
@pedropimentamusic How are YOU doing? I saw a video up about the recovery of a quad amputee, as after this video I watch the BBC documentary about the soldiers who did not return from Iraq or Afghanistan and how the loss has impacted their families. There surely must be a way for a quad amputee to make a comeback, and no doubt its is a challenge. I pray all is going well with you. :)
this is such an inspiring story shows although no matter what happens if you put your mind to it you can do anything these people are determined because they're our soldiers they're british thank you for your sacrifice you have made we are forever in your debt
This is one of the most inspirational documentaries i have ever watched! This guys are just AMAZING. They have all my support and admiration! And sent a very powerful message to the world of patient, strength and never giving up!
I can't believe our government would allow human beings to be sent into so much risk and danger. If our government really cared they would not send people into harmful places in the first place. There shouldn't even be organizations that are willing to put people into conflicts. Its all wrong
I cried, out of pride, for these guys.....after 30 yrs suffering PTSD and on a War Disability Pension I wish I could have been inspired by these two ...they are the real heroes in life.....Very best wishes to them both...
Wonderful documentary JohnSmith, d best i hav ever seen! Highest respect to the Armed Forces, the wounded and the fallen. They are the true heroes of our time.
The General Public should be made more aware of things like this, our Brave Injured Warriors are our TRUE HEROES, not our celebrities, Wishing each and every one of you all the best for your Future. Keeping you, your Families, Friends & Colleagues in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless you all xxx
I'm overwhelmed with admiration for Andy, Tom & ALL our Brave Wounded Warriors, are awesome, courageous, inspirational, they all overcome so many obstacles thrown at them, that they help the rest of us to put things into perspective, & show us just what can be achieved when you put your mind to doing something. The next time you see someone in a wheelchair, or walking with a walking stick or whatever & you are tempted to call them 'cripple' or whatever, think again!!
and these are the cases that are shown in this programs, there are so many more guys like them out there. we should remember to respect those we call "cripples" more, they've proved so much more than many of us
It makes you think about the everyday things you take for granted. Good health one thing you can't buy - and this sort of thing makes me so thankfull for being well.
These guys display so much determination and bravery and are just inspirational, I take my hat off to them - there's all sorts of rubbish going on in britain, but this sort of thing makes me proud to be British
ARRRR The Baby Is Soooo Cute ARRRR Bless Them Man And People That Says I Rather Die Then Living Like This You People Are Dumb.YOU SHOULD THANK GOD THAT HE/SHE HAS BOUGHT U BACK ALIVE STUPID PEOPLE MANN:@:@
@SilentSierra What a terrible attitude to have....normally I would be okay with a statement like that because people are free to have any opinion they want, but all I can say this time is really? after you see these inspirational people on the path to getting their normal lives back....why would you make such a negative comment? It baffles me why people are so rude and mean on the internet....even to two young men who risked their lives for their country...shame on you
@SilentSierra You would rather die because your not as strong as these boys, real legends! I don't even know what I would do in their situation but all you have is hope, family and friends! Chin ups! much respect!
@SilentSierra thats why u aint forces material, bet u those guys have done more for themselves, charity, family, this beatiful nation in their condition then many others who have all 4 functioning limbs.
BronzedKiwiANZAC, I have always felt that too. Hero is a word reserved for men like these, and men they are. I wish them all a long and happy life. The Canadian powers that be seem content not to inform us of our wounded soldiers. Bless them all.
@henerymag Sure you`re right there. In the British news they say who has been killed. No mention of the ammount of wounded, or drastically maimed. I dread to think of such statistics...
i always thought of myself as a strong guy, but seeing these lads i realize im just a whimp compared to them. Hat off to them and i hope they will enjoy the rest of their life.
