Yeah i wish i have more stuff from this . It's from the Rosa von Praunheim Movie "Tally Brown, New York" Ilove it. But i have only two Vid's from the Movie. Please sent me a link or so THX
I was very fortunate to accompany Tally in some of the last performances of her career. She was a good friend, and a kick-ass scrabble player; an incredible and unique person, still miss her. My deep thanks for posting this video.
Tally was a warm and wonderful person - she cared deeply about all her friends, the people she loved. She was generous, concerend and caring. Thank you for this video posting.
I just saw Tally Brown featured in some Warhol films (as part of the Warhol retrospective season at The British Film Institute in London) so was fascinating to see this. What a woman! I wish I knew more about her.
I knew Tally Brown personally - both the star and the little Jewish lady in her schmata giving me advice on my love life. (I believe the latter person, her very private self, was someone only her close friends got to see.) She was a warm and wonderful human being - and a very colourful character. The posting of this video gave me a thrill - to see her vibrant and alive, and to hear her voice - not something I ever expected would happen again in this life.
I knew Tally as well. I met her the week I arrived in NY coming from Paris in 1970. She became my best friend over the years and is my oldest daughter's godmother. She was the most fascinating person I ever met. It is incredible for me to see her again. Thank you for posting this film.
I'm looking for a video of her shot in my house in 1971 in New Paltz by the owner of the movie theater of the town if anyone knows about that video?
This film was screening last night at the Anthology Film Archives in New York. The director was there to introduce the film, too. One of those experiences so unique to New York.
