  • @princess2010tai the song that doesnt exist because you did not find it

  • @princess2010tai ye le theek se sun na watch?v=t_iNh9IEAcE

  • "Megh" is a hindi synonymous word of badal or cloud in english !!

  • nice movie

  • This song was first sang by the great singer abbas uddin from bangladesh in 1940.......

Then in 1960 sachin de barman sang it in hindi & day after it was also sang in urdu..........if anybody want to listen the bangla version see it in right side.

  • ithe original song was "allah megh de"...this was the adaptation.,,,neways beautiful song and MEGH is not rain,,,Megh means cloud.

  • wat does megh mean???

  • megh means rain in hindi. This song seems to be inspired by SD Burman's Allah megh de. Of course the 'Rama megh de' the tribute lord Ram has been removed.

  • @sudeepchadha Actually, the original version is a Bangla folk song sung by farmers. The song is basically a prayer aking for water for harvest.

  • @sudeepchadha you need to be educated. This is poetic song written and composed by the famous Bengali poet Jasimuddin. Sachin Dev Burman, born in Bangladesh was an acquaintance of the poet and was familiar with the work of Abbas Uddin, the Bangladeshi singer who used to sing Jasimuddin's songs. Sachin Dev Burman took the song from Bengali. This is a Bengali song, directly adapted to other languages.

  • @randominitializer Thank you for a descriptive reply to sudeepchadda. Just for your information, Poet Jasimuddin, Singers Abbasudding, and S.D. Barman, all hail from Brahmanbaria region of Bangladesh.

This song - though good to hear - does not even come close to the spirit of the original song. 'Aasman hoilo tuta tuta, jominhoilo fata' - where is this feeling and pain in this song?

  • @iamanwer Jasimuddin hails from Faridpur region, not Brahmanbaria region.

  • @Asadraja11

Megh means cloud in Bengali. the original is indeed Allaa megh de paani de chhaya de re tui.. (chhaya = shadow).. Runa Laila's version is perhaps the best!

  • @Asadraja11 megh means cloud.
