the hawk part was the best, but to be honest, i come up with funnier material every day (too bad i don't have a little underpaid Asian to follow me around writing every funny thing i say)
It's awkward in delivery, but some of the jokes are good. The characters you play on Blame Society are always fun to watch . . . have you thought of doing stand up as one of your characters?
The delivery is intentionally awkward, it is part of Aaron's natural delivery and part of what makes it funny (at least in my opinion of course). Awkwardness has been used in many of their sketches, for instance, Bear in the Driveway one. But I agree with another comment - seriously, memorize your lines, it is distracting to see you look down, you can do it, just memorize them. Hope to see more stand up in the future though, good job.
Actually, it would be hard to memorize all that in less than 1 day, but you can write a 5 minute set and practice it a week in advance, could probably get it down pat in 3-4 days with 30 minutes a day rehearsal (I've been in some plays so that sounds about right, even 15 minutes a day would probably work). Funny stuff though, you should do it again. Now I'm about to see Matt's, he just uploaded it.
@blamesociety2 hell dude you stood up there and ya did it ya know? first time at stand up? pretty badass. i myself hate coal miners and their rebellious attitude but ... they still do it so whatever.
You're a great comedian, but you need a better stage presence and you need to memorize your material. If you do those, I'd be happy to pay to see you.
The start was quite poor, but overall it wasn't bad, kept me interested and snickering.
As others said, try not to read, memorize it, and if you happen to forget something just improvise. And definitely add some gesturing, it's a big part of stand up comedy.
Rated 3 ("worth watching", by youtube's definition), hoping to rate 5 one of the next ones.
Much better than I could ever do for a first time but still needs some work with it. I liked the stuff on the spam but I think they'd fit more into a short video rather than stand up. Despite this, I liked it, I hope to see you continue on stand up.
It was....ok. The email bit was pretty funny but the beggining lost my attention. Also, the delivery was lacking. A perfect example of good comedy delivery is Demetri Martin. Look him up. Overall, give it a little time and you coud be great!

I thought it was very funny, the material is great, and the delivery is also funny and quirky.
With the lines memorized it would perfect, you should certainly do more stand up.

It's not my place to say, but Hal Thomson would be a perfect stand-up comedy character!

Its funny to see him outside of his Hal persona and hes got my props because he answered my teleportation question! Keep it up Aaron!

Matters little. I enjoy the sick and offset sense of humor you guys have. It's like ADHD kids meet Monty Python comedy. I love it :D
Keep it up guys.

Aaron Rocks! Really good jokes. Athough the start was a bit rough, the e-mail joke endings were hilarious. So were the hawk jokes.
Keep it up!

Really liked it! :) My less favorite parts were about the hawk and the spams -- everything else I found hilarious.

Yep, delivery needs work. Demetri is funny. Reminds me of Steven Wright, only a little less abstract
