well to all of you who are saying they're loaded... watch the videos of Millie jumping this class when she was 11 years old, she has serious talent, her and pippa are both AMAZING riders, I get lessons off Peter Allen, and they're amazing, all of them... and you can see why, Peter seriously knows what he's talking about...
She is an amazing rider, regardless of whether or not her parents are rich. I do agree with you on that one. There's one girl at my barn who has a beautiful show horse and always complains about how 'stupid' and 'cheap' he was, even though he was 60, 000 dollars. My horse was barely 3,000 and he's an amazing jumper!
oh and she came third in this class. i am looking at the results. she was 12 in this video. riding spot the lady. spot the lady is aged 17 147.2cm (14.2hh) a mare (obv) and belongs to D Miller
PIPP3R ALL3NNN MA333(h) H3H3OW GUD AM I M3 ND AM S3XII LADYY,,ND HU EVER SED AM 12 ND MA PONYS CALLED CHARM ND NES A 14.2 ARAB X ANDULSIAN WANNA GET UP DAT3D COS SH3S 15 HH ND SHES A FULL ANDULSIAN ND SHES A GIRLL ND CNT JUSP 1M 60:s FINK3N Y3R NO M3 W3N YA OBVV DONTT!!!! LUV PIP
she is called pippa allen she is now 14 (it says on her bebo) and the pony in this video is called spot the lady :D she won at olympia twice out of 3 times she has been
i saw this on tv lol :) i remember a whittacker beating her and she was like oh noo he beat me and was upset lol i would be to coz she did dead well :)
SHE GOT ON THE EUROPEAN TEAM! i think it was with spot the lady and she is an amazing rider although she does occaisionally sound like an ellen wannabe but she is not and her sister and her cousin can ride really well too and she has helped to train them so, yea!
I have a video of Lady when I owned her, in the Foxhunter Final at HOYS, type in SPOT THE LADY then hit the search key and it will bring the video up for you.
who ever said this horse is ugly, is clearly NOT a horse lover. in my opinion, no true horse lover would ever call any horse ugly. wow this rider is also amazing.xxdanniixx
This horse used to be mine and frankly if they do their job doesnt matter what they look like! Beauty is on the inside and Ladies inner beauty reveals a heart of gold! Pippa is doing a smashing job with Lady, I am keeping my fingers crossed she gets on the European team!
This rider - pippa allen - is truly fantastic and a young rider to watch for the future! All her horses perform fantastically and are definately not bought - she produces them herself and always has an amazing relationship with them. A true horsewoman and the future of jumping.
yea, you could put her on a complete novice and she'd win (this is in reply to glosterimage) but Lady (Spot The Lady) had also been successful with previous riders, so she was ready made, but she can ride any pony and she had to pass her BSJA Pony Proficiency in order to get on to the european team so she had to be able ot ride to a high standard so linneeaB was wrong, she probably wouldn't be able to ride this horse and win the leading junior showjumper of the year!
passing her pony proficiency would be the easiest thing, even i've passed it and im def not on the european team, but shes done well to get where she is, shes an amazing rider
aw congrats, it is pips isnt it :P i did it 4years ago, but out of juniors now so it doesnt matter, pippa would have done it well before she was 12 though coz shes jumped on the 128cm english team so she would need to have done it for that, congrats though, u trying out for the teams at the home pony internationals this year then i guess?
We don't have a great deal of time and money (not saying that all of these riders are rich because they aren't) so going to Cheshire, Cricklands, Cavan or Aryshire would be difficult for us, but if my pony upgrades to a JA in time for the trials we might give it a go. We will hopefully be going to the English Home Pony to do either the debut or 148cm teams but we'll just have to see what the season brings :) I read that you got onto the Welsh team though, that must have been immense? :D
I can agree with all of you, but if it is like it is here in Sweden, many girls or boys like that can buy a pony/horse and compete in what class they want.. Is that really fair, to the rest of us? I am training my horse to be that good, I am not BUYING a "bigjumper".. Maybe she is very talented, but even I could sit on that horse and win a Grand Prix! ;)
And she hasn't been riding it that long at all- She definitly is a good rider not just the horse-she won the 138 class at HOYS as well and qualified 4 ponies so that takes skill
I have seen many great ponies screwed up by the rider. She did brilliant, no matter how experienced the pony was. She had ability and confidence in the pony to give it a great go.
Her horse is awesome but I wouldn't take anything away from that girl. They clearly have an great working relationship and respond really well to one another. The horse is probably more experienced than her, but that doesn't mean she has less ability because of that. And is that an Appy?
well i bought a welsh a for 15 pounds . and he qualied for POYS. so fuck you all u rich ungrateful idiots!
