I love apple but the OS has some problems still their just minor glitches and they dont do any good gaming unless you spend more then $2000 and then you have to dual boot windows :( other than that their great there not really entertainment geared more music and video editing and video engineering sadly

@nkohli061 It really depends on your preferences, if you don't care about price whatsoever you might wanna get a mac but PCs are MUCH cheaper for what you get and you could get one for about 1/2 or maybe 1/3 as much as a mac which will run just as quickly, also, are you buillding your own pc? Because if you are it will cut down on price even more. Hope this helped.
Get over yourself people. There is no team apple or team windows. They are all good for what they are made for. I got both and I use them both just as much. My mac for school and windows for gaming etc. Try them both out for more than 10minutes and give them a chance :)
@lightsodda Mac is better since it can run Windows and OS X together. So you can run the Windows server for playing games, and run the OS X server for work and stuff.
Heavier, thicker, slower and more expensive than PC's. Not impressed. They now have PC laptops 1/2 the thickness and they have windows 7. With this one you have to actually install and run parallels, bootcamp or just plain format the entire drive if you want to get windows on it. I'd think it would be better to run windows, and then run osx virtually since there's little to no use for it. That way you could skip running it. But with osx, a lot of people must run windows for many apps.
@joethestickguy The iWork package which is an Apple equivalent of Microsoft Office, it has the program Pages which is the equivalent of Word. There's a Microsoft Office For Mac too as well.

Just one question, y bought my macbook pro in a Office Depot Store, but all the boxes of Mac's were already opened, y just asked why and they told me than they open the boxes to check that the mac doesn't have issues, or a broken display.

You could have had double the memory, a bigger hard drive, faster processor which is able to render video projects faster, play games better and more for less than $1000, and saved the left over money, to put in an SSD to make it load more than twice as fast as your macbook. And probably had enough left over to get some cool software. And windows 7 is smooth as hell too. OH, well, apple will love you. or maybe not....

@piggygirl123abc, apple is friendly with schools in it's effort to exploit and brainwash young easily malleable children. They give them to the schools for cheap, so the young students dig into their pockets and blow full price which is always over charged for the amount of hardware you get. Very predatory and selfish of apple in my opinion since macbooks are not required, nor do they really make any huge difference. They are just a brand like Nike, and use their sales methods.

The great thing about high end pc is that you can get one faster than the $2283 imac, if you know where to shop. Nothing wrong with mac, but honestly it's not going to do anything you couldn't do on a pc with correct software. You could add SSD and it will be even faster and still less. Your choice

@ProElite97 well it kind of depends on what you want to use your mac for...if you want it just for school and homework, id suggest a 13" macbook pro or an air as it is more portable...if you want to do gaming, then i suggest a 15" or 17" since they generally have better specs

I really want to buy a mac but it cost half million hungarian forints. (about 2283$) :S

@TechyTurtleTutorial, so get a high end PC instead. Not a junk but one of the better PC's that are already mostly ready to go. Then pick HD, monitor, memory and that's about it. The great thing about high end pc is that you can get one faster than the $2283 imac, if you know where to shop. Nothing wrong with mac, but honestly it's not going to do anything you couldn't do on a pc with correct software. You could add SSD and it will be even faster and still less. Your choice

@mummified2 actually a changed my mind right after i post the comment. I don't need a laptop now maybe at college. I'm waiting for Ivy Bridge and Nvidia kepler and i will pair it up with 8gigs of ram and a 128gb OCZ SSD. :)

MacBook Pro for sure. MacBook Air does really look cool , but when you like want to instal a game , whole you're thing crashes. MacBook Pro is looks nice to.

@ProElite97 well it kind of depends on what you want to use your mac for...if you want it just for school and homework, id suggest a 13" macbook pro or an air as it is more portable...if you want to do gaming, then i suggest a 15" or 17" since they generally have better specs

@ProElite97 Depends. If you want a mac at home, get an iMac, if you want a casual notebook, get a MacBook Air. It you want to do a lot of video editing, etc on it, then get a macbook Pro or a high-end iMac.

@Marshboy6 since Lion is a software download that is available online (in the app store), you don't need a hard disk to reinstall it. You can just redownload Lion through the app store.
