"Hunting is Hard" for people that either don't have proper training or people that are way to lazy to spend the time and energy it takes to locate the Big Buck! my buddy got a 10 pointer this year only took him 2 minutes to get the proper shot after 32 hours of tracking! it took me almost 60 hours to catch up to an 8 pointer this year, when your hunting you want venison so spend every second searching! Hunting is only hard if you make it so! Try walking it's not hard and your chances increase!

the racks fall off every year. Just because it was a 12 pointer doesn't mean it will be 14 next year. Could be a big 8 or even 4.Big pointers are not a guaranty just because he is big and old

not to mention most dominant mature big bucks are more times than none nocturnal, and they will eat sleep, and move in areas where people are to lazy or affraid to go, good genetics a healthy herd, and good nutrition will always yeild massive racks, being able to pass up a nice 6 pointer untill next season will also grant you a bigger buck, but your main point is the most important, they dont get mature and big by being stupid, most of the time your just in the perfect place at the perfect time

deer get big antlers from calcium, so if you live in an area with lots of it in the ground then you will find deer with large antlers, if there is'nt much calcium deposits in your area then you will get smaller antlers.
