Unsieged siege tanks actualy kill utlralisks pretty well so long as they are behind something else tanking the damage, like thors or marines with medivac support.

If you don't like Mutas look up the playstyle of a SC2 pro named goody. He rolls a mean mech build which means he always has several thors and once he has 4+ in an area mutalisks are fodder.

mutas are extreamly op. no, im not a raging terran or protoss. i play random, and they really need a nerf. if you mass them up enough, they can easily take out a thor. also, thors are way to slow to take them down. plus, it is hard to take out mutas with mariens because mutas can fly over walls, hills, and canyons, while marriens cant. honestly, they need a speed nerf.

@mcmcman2 if a zerg is allowed to macro super hard with no punishment, they kill you. It's not the muta's that kill you, they're just the vehicle for it. If the zerg built a ton of anything, he would've destroyed TB. Muta's are hard to mass up in large numbers because they drain a ton of gas, which limits the zerg in doing anything else gas intensive. infestors, T3, large roach early game. If they were so OP they woud've been patched in alpha/beta/launch. They haven't because they're fine.

@Totalhalibut Why haven't you tried doing mass AIR against Zerg instead of mass mech or mass infantry. Use Vikings and a few Battlecruisers with Raven support to rule the air and force the Zerg to get much less annoying hydra's/infestors to deal with you.

"diversity" doesn't really mean anything since it means each unit can do more, thus less overlap.

@TheHotPie5 viking marine tank does quite well against a mass muta'ing player, since they can't build enough of anything else to deal with the tanks parked right outside their base. Being all up in the zerg's face really hurts them, reducing their drone count, and forcing the muta's near their base instead of attacking you. Just sitting around defending makes muta's really good, they're not that great against straight up fights.
